My big cat finally quit using the floor!
My 15 pound big boy, Frank, got in the habit of using the floor when our home life was turned on end for most of a year. When things got back to normal I was hopeful the “accidents” would stop. They didn’t. I took him for a checkup; he’s fine. I got new boxes, bigger boxes, tried two different types of litter, scooped and cleaned twice a day, put down puppy pads (Score! He’d pee on those), pleaded, begged, reasoned… then I realized he’s quite fastidious, even for a cat, and perhaps doesn’t even like to brush up against the litter box sides, so I decided to order this pan. We are not at 100% with poop, but are with pee. And improving. Yayyyyyyyyy
Honest Reviews –
The best way I can describe this cat litter box was basic but massive.The cat litter box doesn’t come with any extras like lids, tops, scent coverers or anything of the sorts. It is just a nice large open metal box.Something I liked about the metal vs your typical plastic is that it is a lot easier to clean. And I mean a lot easier. Stuff doesn’t really stick to it and when it does a wet paper towel cleans it off and has it looking good as new with very minimal cleaning effort.I will say I thought the metal looked a lot more appealing then they plastic boxes as well. It was really easy to keep it clean and brand new looking then traditional boxes which was really nice.Build quality heavy duty. No other way to put it, there is no bend bowing or flimsiness to the cat litter box. Even when full of litter it is very solid and holds its shape well.Now for size comparison its hard to compare it to anything, but I could fit three of my cats in here with room to spare. It is extremely large and roomy especially for larger cats.My final thoughts are if you’re looking for a nice and basic box it works well. Again you’re not getting any of the extras like tops/lids, or scent coverers you’re getting a nice high quality basic box that is really easy to keep clean and looking appealing.
One More Time –
I knew it was going to be large, but when it arrived my first thought was, âwow, this is HUGE.â Honestly, it has a good size. If you have a big cat or multiple cats, this pan will feel like a luxury upgrade for them.It came really well packed and there wasnât a single dent or scratch on it. The steel is thick and sturdy, not flimsy at all, and the measurements listed are accurate. It definitely has some weight to it, which makes it feel solid and durable.One of the best things about switching to stainless steel is how much easier it is to keep clean compared to plastic. My cats canât scratch it up, mess doesnât stick, and it doesnât hold onto odors the way plastic boxes do. A quick scoop and wipe and it looks good as new.The only thing Iâd caution is the size. You really do need to measure the space where you plan to keep it, because it takes up a lot of room. That being said, if youâve got the space for it, itâs fantastic. My cats adjusted quickly, and I love knowing itâs going to last a long time without getting gross or worn down.

I saw the measurements for this litter box, and thought to myself âthis is largeâ. It is REALLY large however! I wasnât quite expecting the size to be honest. It comes well packed in foam and plastic, and the tucked in a box. I appreciate the care the manufacturer took to ensure it would arrive in the condition it did. Thereâs not a scratch or dent on it. The weight of this was surprisingâ¦itâs really sturdy. The measurements listed are true to size, and the steel is definitely not flimsy. The bonus of stainless steel, is the cats canât scratch into it. With plastic they can, and over time the pores of the plastic get harder to clean and keep odors eliminated. Iâm really pleased with this litter box. Five stars from me.

This stainless steel litter box is really extra large â plenty of space for big cats or multiple pets. The high sides help prevent any mess and itâs very easy to clean compared to plastic ones. The metal build feels solid and should last a long time. It would be even better if it came with a matching scoop, but overall Iâm very happy with it.

(Sides taper slightly towards the bottom.) (Outside the ends of the lips measures 19.5″ x 27.5″)- Does not come with any protective feet stickers. (All other stainless steel pans that I have for litter boxes came with protective feet that you stick on the bottom to protect your floors. I have a total of six other pans.)The extra 4″ in width and length that you get with this pan might make it worth, it if you have the extra space for it. My cats would be very comfortable with this pan as it gives them more room to circle around when they go to do their business. This is natural to my cats to do that. This extra space which is marginally better would also mean it takes more kitty litter to fill it to the minimum depth of 2″ so that initial start up will be slightly more costly but that doesn’t affect the daily use of kitty litter so as long as you maintain that magic 2″. It will only affect you when you need to do a complete change of the kitty litter. (Normally I thoroughly sift the litter every day and change one a month; adding litter as needed.) The value of making kitty cats happy would make it worth it; however not having the protective feet and no accessories, the price is a little high. I give this product a 4/5
