Bought for my turtle tank
I have had this for about a year and it stopped working recently. I decided for the price i liked the functionality and decided to buy it again. I am hoping it lasts a lot longer than a year this time around.

Quick set up and easy use
I was hesitant about this heater after some negative reviews but I am glad to have had no bad experiences yet. The heater is super easy to install in your aquarium, and even comes with extra suction cups for more specified mounting. The temperature control is smart, you just adjust it with the button and leave, it heats automatically and then maintains as needed. The system has an included depth sensor to prevent low water level burn out, and shuts off automatically as needed. I was realty happy with the heater’s price, and the quick heating of my tank was obvious as you could feel the increased temperature on your hand and even see it with the included strip thermometer.

Not accurate, bounces all over
I bought this for my 29 gallon because of the safety shut off feature after scouring tons of junk heaters on Amazon. The product description says it works for up to 30 gallons. I set it, which was simple, and put it in the tank near water flow (right under the filter, as instructions say) and right away, the temperature would not stay stable (I set it to 78 in this video) the heat light came on, then went off as the temperature began bouncing all over the place. Up to 82 and back down to 76, heat light goes back on, rinse and repeat, up to 82 again. I have no other heat source anywhere near the aquarium to set off a false read like this. I stuck my hand in the water, only to feel that it’s ice cold. I repositioned the heater to the bottom of the tank and away from water movement and it’s been stuck at 76 with the heat light on and not budging. I can clearly see the heat waves coming out of it as it heats the water, it’s just not doing its job right. I’ll give it a day since I have no fish in this tank, but chances are I’ll be sending it back. You get what you pay for. I’m a professional Aquarist, my suggestion: spend the extra money and get a trusted brand, something like fluval. It’s not worth burning down your house or cooking your fish, and trusted brands don’t typically need a safety shut off feature, because they simply do their job. Just make sure you top off your tank and don’t let the heater get dry– simple. Update: It’s been an hour and the temperature still reads 76 with the heating light on. Not cutting it.

I like, works well for small tanks.
I read threw many many reviews till I found this product. I did see some reviews about this one melting but my main concern was about the fish not getting hurt. They canât get stuck in the small holes. I havenât had trouble with them getting behind. Perfect for my ten gallon.
