Text u v b and u v a light
This is a powerful light that produces a lot of u. V a and u v b for my turtles. It came with a u v b u v a detector card if you didn’t have a u.V b meter. Uses less wattage, then the standard 2.0 bulb and it is l, e, d, so it will last a lot longer. Highly recommend this for anybody that is keeping turtles or any animal that requires high u v b. From about two feet away, it produced the perfect 3 to 4 index required for turtles.

All the UVB, none of the heat.
This light is great. It helped me feel better about it because it came with a UVB detecting card. This light does not put off much heat at all, so keep in mind that you would want to provide a heat lamp if you were keeping a hot temperature reptile. But overall I am very pleased with this.

Ample amount of UV but reflector create incidental hotspot
Amount of the UV radiation was ample for its power, but critical issue was reflector design.It is not suitable for proper diffusion. It create local incidental hotspot and color separation as pictures I added At this concentration spot, UV value spike up acutely much more than the rest of average reading. If reflector was given diffusion property, I think it’s much better. I took apart, wet sand reflector and cover sheet with 800 to give random surface scatter, after modification, diffusion was much more even across beam pattern, also better color blend.

Definitely puts out a broad spectrum
I can see it puts out mild UV with white items it shines on. they arenât glowing blue, but you can see a slight tinge on them. My hermit crabs appear to enjoy basking under the light.
