Mayan harvest
My GCC absolutely loves this seed blend! I opened it to inspect it for bugs or anything crazy before I gave it to my baby and was very surprised at the quality of the seed. It smelled fresh and exotic. Once I poured a small amount in a bowl for her to try as a treat she immediately flew over to the bowl and started digging in, she made sounds I have never heard before. She was that happy! She’s never tried star anise before but she loves it. I will be ordering again for her as a treat, but that will be a while because there’s so much. I was pleasantly surprised at the amount for the price and I was impressed by all the colors. It isn’t a bland tan seed mix.

Like the freshness you can smell and the variety of different seeds and fruit and nuts. Resealable bag makes feeding less complicated. Nutrition to the max. No artificial junk for the bird all natural.

My cockatiels are loving this
I usually use the Higgins Sunburst blend for my cockatiels, which I consider really good, healthy, great variety. But recently it has been out of stock unless I want to buy a huge bulk supply. So I decided to try this one, since I trust Higgins, and it looked good. Immediately you can smell the star anise when you open the package, and there is just so much great stuff in this blend. I think I like it better for my little dinosaurs than the Sunburst blend. They have been chowing down. My boy seems to love the flaked peas in here. My little ones are very happy.

Great for venturing babies from just seed.
Have 2, 4 month old cockatiels and they are so stubborn at trying fresh fruit and veggies. Seeing the multiple mix of food in this bag, I went to try it out and they freaking love this stuff, little piglets. I’m also able to see what they don’t touch, making it easier for me to narrow down their likes and dislikes. Pretty expensive for a small bag, but its worth it if these little tiels enjoy it.

My Cockatiel, Enzo L O V E S this mix….especially the anise star seed,
My cockatiel, Enzo, just loves this mix….especially the anise star seed. He starts carrying on, as soon as I open the bag and he can smell the anise. There is one small problem….the anise star pod;which is his favorite seed; is too hard for my lil’ buddy to break open on his own. But, since he’s my Best Buddy, I crush them open for him, with the flat metal bottom, of his measuring scoop. They are a little tough to get open, but I don’t mind, because I Love my Enzo…..and nothing is too much trouble, for one of your “fids”. I will continue to buy this mix, as “part” of his diet, as long as he still dances and gets excited, when I open the bag…. it smells fresh, and has a decent supply of anise star seed in the mix……then we are both Happy 🙂
