Nice, Affordable, All Around Glove
My other pair of these gloves are a 6, but I had a brain fart and ordered the 8’s so they are a little roomier than I prefer. However, the fit is still very comfortable. My prior experience with these gloves has been very positive – they last, wash well, provide great grip and protect my hands, and I can use my smartphone with them on – and I expect no less from these gloves. After two or three years of rotational use my other pair is looking a bit used (pulled threads mostly) but are still great, and I only bought another pair because I wanted black instead of the red, which doesn’t match the rest of my red gear (more of a brick red, where I ride in bright red/cherry red). These are a great value, especially with Amazon Prime. I wear these and the competitor’s glove and the only difference is the easier use of my smartphone. These also seem to fit a little better through the wrists for me – with a ladies universal in the “other brand” I have to cinch them in all the way, as I have slim wrists. These gloves should fit a variety of hand types and wrist widths comfortably – really a nice, universal, all around glove.

Great riding gloves
I’m very pleased with these gloves – great feel of the reins thru your fingers, good gripping surfaces. They aren’t cold-weather gloves necessarily, but I run quite hot once I start riding so they work great for me even on nights when it drops below 20.Update – 12/2012So I’ve been riding with these several times a week for the last few months now. Very impressed with how well they are holding up so far. The black palms show dirt very quickly (like white whouldn’t!) I even got nipped on the back of my hand the other night and the horse ended up catching the back of the glove rather than my hand – none the worse for wear!Update – 11/2013Still using these gloves over a year later. A few little threads are starting to peek out on the edges of the fingers where there is a reinforced section between the pinky and ring fingers but other than that, they are holding up perfectly. I wear them for year-round riding as they help take some of the wear and tear off your fingers. The velcro on the wrist still holds perfectly although it has started to curl when it isn’t attached to itself.9/2015 – had to purchase another pair as the leathery surface has finally given up. Considering they made it 3 years of year-round wear I’m very happy with a little $20-something pair of gloves. I went with purple this time – and here is a photo of the old and new so you can see them both!

Favorite riding gloves
These are my favorite riding gloves â Iâve been using them (or a version of them) for decades. They allow so much communication from the reins. I even used these when acting as a coxswain because I could feel the rope to steer. For me, a pair lasts a but shy of years of riding before developing holes, but I wouldnât want them any thicker or theyâd lose their best quality: that they muffle virtually no signals from the reins.

Sturdy, stylish, comfortable!
So far I’ve used these for two rides and they’ve held up. The fit is true, I wear size 8 and I have very long fingers, and the spaces between the glove fingers go all the way to the end of my fingers. They’re also very stylish, I hope they last me a long time.Update: I bought these last year and have used them about 2x a week since then. I am amazed that these STILL look brand new and they’ve held up. I love these gloves! They haven’t stretched and look very professional. Whenever these actually do wear out, I will be purchasing another pair. This brand has gained a faithful customer!Another update: Two years later and they’re still holding strong. I still ride the same amount and these gloves still serve me well. Fantastic product! I recommend them to anyone.

Good gloves but worrying how long they will last
Initially, I had no complaints about these gloves. They fit well and are very comfortable. I really like the reinforced areas between the pinky and ring finger where the reins sit. Recently I noted that they already have a small tear however. I am a bit disappointed that after only a few months they already had a rip, but it could just be a fluke

Excellent durable gloves.
I am on my second pair of these gloves and I love them! They are very afforable and last quite a long time. Highly recommend.Durability — My first pair must have stayed with me for at least 5 years, with at least weekly use. I did have to stitch a few holes here and there towards the end of their lifespan, but that’s to be expected. Very long-lasting glove overall, and definitely worth the money.Chafing — These protect quite well against chafing, although if you’re riding a horse who routinely pulls like crazy, you may want something with a bit more padding on the rein fingers.Warmth — The gloves always kept my hands warm (I have terrible blood circulation in my hands, so this is saying something), but I also live in a very mild climate. I don’t think they would do the trick if you ride outdoors somewhere with real winters.Appearance — Black gloves tend to show dirt pretty easily, so that is to be expected. What’s great about these is that you can throw them in the washing machine (best to avoid the dryer though) and have them come out sparkling clean, with velcro intact. In terms of “showiness,” I actually purchased my second pair to show IDA in, and they did the trick.Fit/Size — I ordered these a while back, so I can’t quite remember what was off initially, but I know I had to return and replace the first pair I got because it was too small. I used their size chart. if you have longer fingers, I would suggest sizing up. Ideally, I recommend trying these on in-store or borrowing someone’s. It may help you get a good grip on what your size really is.
