Non-Melting Suet in Texas Summer is the Way to Go. Good for Woodpeckers
Woodpeckers show up. (Hairy Woodpecker, Northern Flicker, Ladder-Backed Woodpecker) A few other types of birds hit it on occasion. I live on a greenbelt next to a park and creek area so we get a lot of different birds. Instead of buying a “melting” suet at Lowe’s which is a mess, I opted to buy this “non-melting” product. Very pleased with results.

Kept the birds happy in the winter time. I noticed quite often woodpeckers especially were eating.Good value compared to purchasing separately in stores. They last a good week or 2 outdoors.Does not melt away in rain or snow. no odd smell to it & looks pretty. Simply drop it into a bird suet holder & hang it up.

The size fits perfect in suet feeders, the birds love it. This pack is great value for your money compared to buying individual ones in store. It’s easy to use and fresh when opened. Longevity is not meausured as my birds eat it up so fast over 2 months. I keep purchasing this pack often.

Keeps molding.., Have to throw away after a few days
Update- The last shipment must had been bad.. They seem to mold within days and my birds will not eat them. Tried replacing 5 now and they are all bad and had to throw them out.Love that a variety of birds like this feed. These are even slightly bigger also.I like how it holds together without breaking like some others I have purchased. Some break in my hands as I take it from the package to the feed cage. These do not. Happy customer! Thank you ð

We have maintained a feeding station for nearly 20 years. We use the seed sold at Costco. We have not found a better deal anywhere. We seek to up our game. Last year we introduced suet. They love it! I was first buying it from Home Depot, but the price, variety and convenience did not make it sustainable. On Amazon, The only ones who prefer the seed almost exclusively are the mourning doves. The starlings, arrogant bullies, try to dominate both, but prefer the suet. In fact, the starlings did not visit until we introduced suet.New visiting species also include song sparrow. We have had one every year that likes our shrubs for nesting. He just never came to the feeder. Just last week, Ã noticed one at the feeder, perhaps two days in a row. Hopefully, we will get to see his offspring and descendants like a male cardinal has done for the past 15 years or so. The feeding station, enhanced by the suet, has allowed us to see what everyone else only hears.The only thing you may not like is the oily feel. Beyond this, there is no odor or mess.Update: I have these and another variety on subscription. The birds must know, because they finish the prior shipment within a day of the next shipment arrival.
