Does What It Claims
Birds love it and squirrels donât. We have a feeder suction cupped to a window in our sunroom to see birds closeup. Squirrels found a way to climb up on trim pieces around the glass and knock the feeder down as it was designed for small song birds. They arenât interested in it anymore as long as we use this seed.

Doesn’t work
Squirrels had no problem mowing through this stuff. With other spiced bird seed I’ve bought elsewhere, new squirrels would take a few bites, then run away and rub their face on the closest surface. They just took this stuff out quickly with no problem.

Squirrels don’t go crazy with it. Mix it with regular wild bird feed. The extra cost is worth the lasting amount used.

Keeps the squirrels away. Before I switched to this bird seed. I was having to refill my feeder daily because of squirrels. The squirrels stay away from my feeder now, I am able to enjoy my bird visitors once again.

Solved problem with deer eating bird seed from our feeder
We recently experienced an issue with deer coming to our (ironically) squirrel-proof bird feeder. They were eating more seed than our intended guests – the birds! Out of desperation, I purchased this seed in the hopes that our deer visitors would not like it. It did not disappoint! It took a few visits for the “unpleasant” eating experience to change their visitation habits. We have not had a deer at our feeder in weeks and the birds seem to like it! Does not deter the squirrels. They found a way to climb the metal pole and have a snack. Expensive product that doesnât work.
