The only proper way of washing hats, I think?
Works unbelievably well without any damage to your hat. A wonderful invention and investment. Not hard on the wallet and came promptly. A little to figure out with the plastic tabs that lock it in the contraption. But it all makes sense when you do. My hat came out relatively clean and smelling better without crushing or damaging the hat as one would do without this. Holds it true to form. No other proper way to do it. And it probably holds every possible shape of hats. Worth the price.

I see it works well and washes well for my hats. The shape is good, and the value of the dollars is good. But retaining it won’t keep the hat from climbing into the device.

Saved our hats!
As other reviews have said, make sure to match up the letters and numbers carefully when putting together. I bought two so that I could make the most of the time and effort cleaning them.The first time, I ran the hats through a full dishwasher cycle with no soap, just water. The shape held up fine and washed up ok.We had much more success the second time, when I filled up the kitchen sink with the hottest possible water and added a half a scoop of Oxiclean powder. I placed the hats upside down in the sink and placed a half sheet pan on top to keep them under the water level. An hour later, I pulled them out of the water and was amazed at how much cleaner and brighter they appeared! I rinsed them, then put them into the dishwasher for another 12 minute rinse cycle.I removed them from the frame, then positioned them on top of the frame to finish drying. Really pleased how new they look!

Works like a charm
Great quality, holds hat shapes well even for curved bill hats. I personally put it in a laundry bag and then throw it in the wash for extra protection. I use it on all of my husbands work hats when they get gross and all his hats have come out looking good, it protects hats great and would recommend if you donât want to always buy new hats

Stupid backwards instructions, not recommended for front loaders.
Dumbest possible assembly instructions, not recommended for front loaders according to the directions you get after buying.For some reason, the numbered+lettered assembly instructions tell you to assemble the outer frame before the inner frame. It seemed obviously wrong and backwards, but I’m a rule follower, so I did it. If you try to do this, and you don’t notice in the picture that the unit should be open when doing this, you’ll find after a few steps on the inner frame, that of course the smaller inner frame can’t be fully assembled, and you’re stuck trying to release the tabs to take it back apart, which is way harder than you’d think.If you ignore the instructions and do the inner frame (lettered tabs) before the outer frame (numbered tabs), it will work fine whether it’s open or closed.

Holds hat shape while being washed
Works great to wash a baseball cap in the dishwasher or washer. I only gave it 4 stars as opposed to 5 due to it came flat and it had to be assembled. I bought 3 from another site last year while visiting Illinois. to be kept at each one of my son’s ( Illinois and Ohio) and one to take home ( Arizona) We could not find the one we left at our sons in Illinois. The ones last year were already assembled and I couldn’t find the site and only needed 1 anyways. But works great to hold the shape of our hats that get all sweaty working outside in the hot humid conditions in Illinois in the summer.

Its not like the thing you see in picture there is no cover in it and also when you put it in washing machine the shape will be change and it will damage the hat

What I Like – Very easy to assemble and even easier to use in the wash. It holds a trucker style or ball cap really well, and makes it easier to wash and keep its shape. I have both dried in the dryer on low, and air dried while keeping it inside this so it would dry in shape. No issues and definitely worth the value.What I Donât Like – Nothing Yet!
