Saved My Caps from the Dreaded âWasher Pancakeâ
These hat washer cages are a simple but genius invention. Just pop your hat inside, snap it shut, and toss it in with the regular wash â no more worrying about it coming out looking like a sad, crumpled tortilla.The frame holds the shape well for both curved and flat brims, and Iâve even used it on my kidâs smaller caps without issue. Works Great for Washing Hats – Shape is Protected!
I was hesitant to machine wash my hats, but this hat washer cage works great, earning a solid 4 stars from me. I’ve used it on both curved and flat-billed caps to get out some light sweat rings. The hats came out clean, and most importantly, they held their shape perfectly through the wash cycle.The process is simple, and the hanging loop is a nice touch for air drying. The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is that the zipper on the mesh bag can be a little sticky and tends to catch. It’s a minor annoyance on an otherwise great product. I’d definitely recommend this to safely wash your hats.

Requires carelful assembly, after washing it’s a lint trap
I really wanted to like this cap washer. With the plastic support and fabric outer protection it looked like the perfect thing for washing baseball caps. During assembly make sure the rib with the stud in the middle is the last one you put on, because that’s what keeps the ribs in place (supposedly). I washed two caps with this in a washer with no agitator and they were air dried. Both times I got a significant amount of lint inside the black fabric of the washer cage and all over the cap. I had to vacuum both items to get them clean. In addition, both times the cage didn’t survive the wash cycle, it was flat in the mesh fabric when finished, so how much protection it provided is dubious. So 2 stars, it works but not up to my expectations, and certainly not for the price.

Set of 2, good value, work great.
I like these, they are easy to use and provide much more structure and protection than other all plastic hat cages. The set of 2 is nice, make cleaning quicker. They have a little loop on top to hang them on a hanger for drying. Very happy with these, they work great!

Hat Cleaning Cage
This hat cage protects my husbandâs hats in the wash. We have always had a hard time getting the grime out of his hats without ruining the structure of it and this was the perfect solution!The cage required very minimal set up. Just the white parts need to click together. There was no instruction on this though and that may be an issue for some. Even a quick little instruction can be appreciated especially never having used the product.The cage works well and does protect the structure of the hat in the wash. The mesh zipped perfect around it and kept everything in place. The materials used held up well. However the value and price did not match for me. This isnât something that I would pay more than $20 for.

Whoever has kids or adults and they have a ton of hats that you want to wash but don’t want to mess up the ball cap shape, you need these! Great for both baseball and flat bill hats. My teenagers hats get super gross, so these have been a godsend! Highly recommend. Easy to put together, love that is comes with two!

Great idea, only lasts a couple washes.
Great idea and very necessary, but the “hat” area is curved pieces of plastic that are snapped onto the frame, and pop off every single time it goes through the wash. Plus the mesh covers that keep everything in place last 2-3 washings before they start getting torn up.

Hat Frame With Mesh Cover
The thing I really love about this hat frame is that it has a cover that goes over the frame. I’ve purchased other hat frames and it’s usually one plastic frame closing over another plastic frame with the hat inside. But this frame has a fabric mesh that the hat and frame slips into and zippers up to keep the hat from collecting lint and keep it from losing a patch or other hat attachments while the hat is tumbling around in the washer or dryer, rubbing up against other clothes. It’s an innovative take on the original and certainly an improvement. Great product.
