Not quite what I expected, but it works…
Thought this was going to be a full “cage” that you could put around your hat to help keep it’s shape. This is actually just two plastic hat-shaped frames, you put your hat over the top of one and then place it in one of the provided mesh bags. So, there is definitely the possibility of the frame coming out of place. That said, so far it seems to work alright, just have to hope that the bag stays shut and firm.

Keeps the cap shaped correctly
When you get your cap into the holder and get it zipped up, it keeps it in the normal shape while washing. I didnât try it in the dryer. I let the cap air dry.

Works for visors, too!
After a particularly sweaty tennis session, I decided it was time to machine wash my visor and was glad to have this hat washing cage on hand. Unfortunately, I misplaced the screw that keeps the shape of the cage in place, but luckily the mesh bag helped hold everything together during the wash, and my visor was as good as new after the cycle ended. The cage was flatter than it should be, so I’ll definitely have to go on the hunt for the darn screws so that I don’t ruin any of our precious National Parks souvenir hats, but the cages+shaped mesh bag combo do the job. I previously had a clamp style hat washing cage that worked great. It was a little sturdier than this one, but it finally broke after years of use. I’m hoping that the use of the mesh bags for these cages will help protect their longevity. I wish there was a different solution to the screws for this product, maybe some kind of connected snap? But other than that, the price is reasonable considering you get two sets of hat washers and I’m glad to have a tool to help keep our favorite hats clean and protected during wash.

Perfect for washing hats!
I have ruined so many hats by throwing them in the washing machine. I didn’t grow up wearing hats, but my husband wears them all the time, and after awhile they really need washed! I don’t know if this was a fluke, but I received 2 hat washing bundles in one. Which is perfect for how many hats that needed to be washed! I have used both sets multiple times and I am incredibly impressed with how well they help the hat hold shape and how much they help to get them fully cleaned. They can be assembled and disassembled easily and come with a small hex key to help quickly lay them back flat for storage. The zippers are easy to zip and unzip which is a bonus for something that has to be lost a lot. I definitely recommend these!

Easy to use
So when using this washer there’s a small concern about the assembly using a metal washer. I assume since you would likely wash and dry your hat in the same day rust shouldn’t be a concern however the “pin/screw” that holds the peak of the hat dome together is metal and doesn’t have a coating of any sort. So if that’s a concern it’s worth noting. That being said these hat washers work like a dream. We even have lots of fur issues in our house and the fur was clearly washed away by the washer and did not get stuck in the mesh.

This works for us
My husbandâs work hats were in desperate need of laundering, so this contraption came in handy. It consists of a frame and a mesh cover. We used this to wash hats in the washing machine and you can definitely tell the difference. This came with instructions, was easy to assemble, and the mesh cover dries quickly so it can be used again. It folds down flat for storage when not in use. Nice product at a reasonable price.
