Some cat’s don’t like it. Nothing you can do.
Easy to put together, good size, small and doesn’t obstruct pathways. Cat hates it. Holds no appeal. I dunno, your cat’s mileage may vary.

Sturdy material
Quality overall great and sturdy height is great for my cat size sheâs not a very large black cat .doesnât have a smell when it arrived and easy installation process mostly common sense. My cat height is perfect for the one I brought I thought it would be to small for her but itâs perfect.

Love it, but ball comes off easily
My cat is huge and he has a cat tower, but I wanted to give him a few more options and the price on this was hard to beat. He is 15 lbs and this scratcher has not tipped at all!!! He has pushed it around but that has not been a big issue and is easily solved by putting it in a corner or using tape to adhere it more solidly to the floor. The ball flew off after a few days of use but I tied a rat toy to it, and that has stayed solid for 3 months now. Love it a lot and itâs a big hit with my cat.

Experiment Worked
I got this because I was curious if I sat it next to my computer chair if my cat would climb and sit on top and enjoy this. The truth is, she was not all that excited with it when we first got it, however, she’s a cat…And now, she seems to be enjoying and using it more and more. She climbs on it (climbing and agility is the primary reason for purchasing this in the first place), then settles watching what I’m doing on the computer, pawing at me, and sometimes even climbs over the arms of the chair and jumps on the keyboard, wreaking all expected havoc when she does (Thank God for “UNDO!”), and sometimes just climbs on it and curls up. So…I would say this…Those questioning stability? Valid. While it works for my experiment, I might get a heavier duty one in the future. If I do, I can still use parts of this in other challenges for my cat to keep her inquisitive (like I need to do that!!). Until then, I’ll settle for her enjoying and practicing her agility and climbing skills and curling up on this. Would I buy this again? To find out if my cat would even pay attention to it? Yes. Expecting long-term durability? Not so much. I’m very satisfied with purchasing this because it answered my questions at a reasonable price. I consider it worth taking the chance on it.Edited to Add: About a week after I posted this, the base on the bottom section broke. I purchased one of the sisal replacement posts available here on Amazon to replace the bottom section. Now it’s 6 inches taller, and so far, seems a bit more stable. Even if she breaks another bottom with her climbing antics, it’s still been worth the initial investment. One additional item, less than a week ago she managed to rip the carpet off the hanging ball (as was mentioned in another review). So, again, if you are wanting to see if your cat will like something like this before spending more than twice the mount for a sturdier and more durable version, you can answer your questions at a reasonable price. If you already know your cat likes to climb and rest on a top perch? Spend the extra $$$$ for extra quality. This has still served the purpose for which it was purchased.

26â Not Sturdy For Average Size Cat
Our cats are 7.5 lbs. The scratching post is just fine and it was reasonably easy to assemble. When either cat jumps up on to the platform the entire thing wobbles and often tips over. Sometimes they will try to pull themselves up to get a treat and the entire structure falls over. Perhaps itâs made for tiny cats? 7.5 lbs isnât by any means a large cat but too big for this product. Weâve placed a couple of 10 pound weights on the base and now it just wobbles. Not recommended for an average sized cat.

An IMMEDIATE Big Hit!!!!!
Not only did our 26″Cat Scratching Post with a Perch come quickly but it was an IMMEDIATE hit with our 20# cat, Pirate!!!!! He always, daily, used his old one so when I started to remove it & replace it with this new one my husband suggested I leave it so he would eventually transition himself to the new one…HA, HA… Pirate could hardly wait to start clawing at it, play with the toys & jump on top as if to say, “This new scratching post is AWESOME. Mom” and that’s BEFORE I even had a chance to put the little gift bag of catnip, that was included, on it!!!!!!!! It was super easy to put together, well made, was reduced in price & even had a 10% off coupon…plus the beige color is just beautiful. We find him using it every day & laying on top like he’s just the King Of The World!!!! 😉 I HIGHLY recommend & Pirate thanks you for your outstanding product!!!!

Okay, so I just got this scratching post and I’m really impressed. It’s super sturdy, which is great because my cat is a maniac when it comes to scratching. Assembly was a breeze, I put it together in like five minutes flat, no tools needed! Plus, the quality seems top-notch, I can tell it’s going to last a while. Overall, I’d definitely recommend this to any cat owner looking for a good scratching post!
