Very sturdy thick wood feeder, easy assembly with screws. I did replace the twine hanger string with a wire chain. Also sealed the bare wood with linseed oil. 2 parts boiled linseed oil, one part turpentine and add a small amount of lacquer thinner to help it dry faster. You can substitute turpentine with mineral spirits or paint thinner but the turpentine is better for this type of application because it has more oil. I learned this mixture from being in the paint business for 52 years. If you are looking for a great feeder you will not be disappointed with this one.

Nice small bird feeder
It was easy to put together. Nice area for small birds to land. Will probably replace rope with cable because in Ohio the twine will not last.

You want quality? This is it!
This is an excellent feeder! I learned my lesson buying cheaply made ones in the past that had all parts just stapled to the wood, including the hanger. When the wood softened after one season, it fell apart, fell, and broke. Not this one; that will never happen! When assembled (which took all of 5 minutes, and the package included a screwdriver!) all the parts screwed together well. It has extra features you don’t see in an ordinary feeder, one being an inverted platform inside to prevent buildup of seed. Another is the perches far enough away from the edge so that when birds lean over to grab a seed and dig around for the best ones, the seed they scatter doesn’t go over the edge and cause waste. What I did extra to the feeder was coat the wood with water-sealer; this will prevent the wood from rotting from rain and snow. I’ve had bird feeders for years, and this is by far the best one I ever bought.

Sturdy and pretty birdfeeder!
I love this bird feeder. Easy to assemble, parts fit as they are supposed to, screws donât need to be forced into the wood, wood is strong and the model Is easy and fun to assemble. I painted mine red and added a couple of mini bunnies to complete the look. Very happy with the end result.

Habe das Häuschen mehrfach vor dem Zusammenbau gestrichen. Der Zusammenbau war echt einfach. Und der beiliegende Schraubendreher war auch mal von ordentlicher Qualität. Das Haus macht einen stabilen Eindruck. Das Befüllen ist durch das abheben des Daches auch recht einfach.Steht jetzt drauÃen auf einem Gestell. Bin gespannt – der Herbst/Winter kann kommen… zumindest für die Vögel. 😉
