The Hamilton Halter is a picture of strength and beauty that has been widely accepted by horse owners throughout America. Each halter is made of over 16 feet of 100% nylon web, double sewn and triple-thick. Its 100% nylon thread is sewn in a diamond tack design to give the halter form and rigidity for a superior fit. It is dramatically stronger than stitching in a single line or with a conventional bar tack. Five solid brass eyelets attached in burn holes give the halter a double wall of protection against eyelet fray. The three double-welded rings, two custom stress point squares and one double bar head buckle are designed to sit much flatter on the horse’s head and eliminate any contact irritation. The 1D Halters and Arabian Halters come with a solid brass tip which makes buckling easier than ever before. It also gives the distinctive look that makes it a Hamilton Halter. Yearling size is a near perfect fit on my 13hh standard jack. Definitely recommend for other donkey folks looking for a good halter.

Not just for foals
I have a herd of Miniature Horses & this works really well for a medium sized Mini.But much prefer the snap closure over buckles.Thatâs the only reason to avoid this particular product, that I can think of. And they are easy to find/ price compare. Buckle style halters for minis most often are leather (awesome), but rarely available.

Manufacturing defect
I ordered this Hamilton halter because I have use some that I bought 20 years ago. I finally needed a new one, and couldnât find one around in the size I needed so I ordered through Amazon. The halter is nice in every way except, crucially, that the buckle has a little pin that goes through the hole to anchor it, and the pin slides around, off of the little spot where it supposed to sit, and sometimes I have to take the halter strap back out of the buckle – not always easy with the pin wedged in the wrong spot- so that I can get the pin into the right position so that I can actually buckle it. This is super inconvenient, and irritating to say the least. Poor quality has come for Hamilton halters. I wonder where they are made.

Excellent Halter
Hamilton halters are the best, first off. This one was a steal and just as high of quality. I have no clue how long he had the one he wore before but it had a clip on it that broke so I had to get him a new one. This fits even better than the one he had prior! Heâs a 13/14ish hand horse and probably weighs around 800# so I got him the small. Fits perfect!

I love the Hamilton halter it just doesn’t fit a draft horse as advertised
Quality wise it’s awesome however more for warmbloods or small drafts out draft crosses then large drafts. It did not fit my 18hh percheron at all. I wish it could have but unfortunately even if falling in the weight range of the halters specs, with many of the big heavy heads in draft breeds it will not fit. I wish they would make a large draft halter. I love the thickness and the hardware. I would give this a 5 star in construction! But a 3 star because they really need to come up with a legitimate draft size halter.

Very nice halter. Well made as Hamiton’s halters usually are. However, I did not notice until I got it that the nose band is not adjustable, and the throatlatch doesn’t have a clip to undo it that way. I did modify mine using the clip from my old halter and putting it on the new. Simple enough to do by using a razor to cut the stitches then using Shoe Gloo to “sew” the clip in the new halter. Over all a very nice halter, I just didn’t look closely enough to notice that it wasn’t the fully adjustable type.

Das Halfter ist sehr stabil mit einer sehr guten Passform für Isländer. Es ist etwas kleiner als die Premium Variante. Es scheuert auch bei längerem Tragen nicht. Es ist absolut sicher und reiÃfest beim Anbinden und beim Transport auch bei Jungpferden, die gerade erzogen werden. Bei anderen Halftern bricht schnell ein Ring oder Haken und das Pferd lernt, dass Widerstand erfolgreich ist und wird immer mehr zerren.
