Great finch feeder
I recently hung a sock nyger feeder to see if I could attract goldfinches, and indeed they started coming. I just bought this more sturdy and attractive feeder to replace the white sock. I thought it might take awhile to get the finches to used to it, but five minutes after hanging it I had a finch feeding. It seems sturdy and is a dark green which blends in with its surroundings, and has a “roof” to help protect it from rain. I highly recommend it.

Attractive and thoughtfully created
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I wanted a smaller sized thistle feeder, compared to the one I had to replace. Â I like this one because the seed catcher tray is removable, for cleaning, and has holes in it, so water can drain. Â My old one did not have these features and the tray eventually rotted out.

Put it up, filled it with thisle and had finches almost immediately! Easy to fill, hold a lot and and seems like it will do well with the Michigan winter. we shall seee.

Sturdy and Attractive Finch Feeder
Wanted to add a finch feeder to our small bird sanctuary, and this one filled the need. The mesh is coated and strong. It’s designed for “nyjer” seed, which are very small and a bit messy to load. I recommend you do it in a wide pan or bowl outside, so you can catch the few stray seeds that’ll come out until it’s filled. Not a big deal for me. The feeder also has a catch tray, which is a must to avoid waste. Don’t buy feeders that haven’t got one! Once it’s up, various finches, chickadees, and other small birds will come around quickly. Enjoy!

Works great with birds, but I find the seed lines the bottom tray and gets hard to clean
