America’s children are suffering from unprecedented health challenges. One of the foundational causes is the American food system. Reliance on large factory farms and shelf stable foods designed to make a profit above all else has destroyed the health of our nation and our future. To restore health, we must return to the food system of the past, when most food came from small local farms following nature nutrition instead of science and profit. But How? Everyone knows small farms are not profitable anymore! Not anymore! We have been pioneering new approaches, new methods to small scale farming that brings both profitability AND a concentration on quality foods that provide nutrition that heals. It is possible to operate a small farm at a profit! This book is the first of a series. It explains the model that we have developed on our own farm to raise animals at virtually no cost. This book explains the big picture, the process, the model. It is accompanied by other books that explain the details of each aspect in deep detail. Other books are coming that describe the business model, marketing, etc. This book is the place to start. Our goal is to see ten thousand new farms launched, following the sustainable, organic, quality focused principles presented here. whether you are a small farm struggling, a mid scale farm looking to expand, or just an individual looking to raise you own food sustainably, this book will walk you through an innovative process of raising animals at incredibly low cost.

A must have for your rabbit library
Was super informative about rabbit nutritional needs, and the nutritional history of domestic rabbit offered by breeders . . . Easy read, direct to point affordable read . . . Would have like more pictures/better pictures, with a bit more how to info as it pertains to planting of grasses and other foods for rabbits like fodder, and fodder nutrition stats, also would like more on tools for growing and harvesting rabbit food, but please don’t confuse the fact that I am Absolutely 100% happy with this book, and suggest it to all interested in another outlook on raising rabbits . . . I would say this book is a must have for sure!!!

    Total Waste of Money
If you are a beginner, put this book it in your compost pile. Or maybe not, as it is most likely printed with toxic ink.If you have a bit of gardening experience, this book is a total waste of money. If you actually own a tractor, why are you even looking at this book on Amazon???

great farmer and writer, according to a nutrition testbook author
I know Dave Salch personally, and have read many bits of his writing. He is an excellent writer, innovative thinker, and totally committed to better-than-organic foods, and sustainable farming.Forgive me for posting before reading. This is a new book; I don’t have it yet, but I have reason to expect excellence.

    Not Actually About Animal Feed
This book was a huge disappointment. It is about prepping your land for a garden, types of equipment for seeding (most of which would not be found on a small homestead), watering systems, etc. There are only five pages (starting on page 98) that talk about WHAT to feed your animals, and in those five pages, they only manage to cover a handful of options.
