This mat is doing an excellent job controlling the amount of cat litter tracked out of the box, for our 2 cats. Itâs capturing about 95-98% of the litter from their paws. The liter box is in our bathroom and the little bits drove me crazy, but no more they are virtually gone!Despite all the comments about the odor, I didnât notice that strong of an odor, they do recommend airing it outside first, but I didnât need to. Also the curling of the edges, they recommended how to solve that problem, so I followed the directions they suggested and zero issues with the rolling issues. Overall this is a very well made well functioning mat, my husband and I are completely impressed with it. I highly recommend this and we might buy another in case this one ever wears out, although I doubt it will, it is a good thickness and seems very well made. Well done Gorilla Grip!

It’s a Good Mat-Go for the Bigger Size
This is a quality litter mat. It appears durable and stays in place for the most part.I got a small size for just out front of the litter box, however I think a very large size that can go under the box and extend out from the front and sides would be most ideal.I like the unique colors offered and the affordable price. The mesh pads do a good job of catching litter however there is spillage from it moving or not being big enough.

This litter mat has been a fantastic addition to our setup! It sits perfectly under the litter box and does an excellent job catching the stray litter that usually ends up all over the floor. The texture traps the litter well, and it’s easy to shake out or clean when needed. Itâs made of a soft but durable material thatâs gentle on our catâs paws, and it stays in place without sliding around. Since using this mat, the area around the litter box is so much cleanerâno more crunchy floors! Definitely a must-have for any cat owner.

Great product
I have a cat who likes to kick the litter out of the litterbox so I needed something to trap it so it didn’t get all over the floor. This does the trick very well. I got the large one and am happy with the size and how well it works. The way I’ve got it set up, it catches the majority of the litter. It’s not very easy to clean but a good sweeping or vacuum works pretty well.

Hard to get litter out, doesnât catch well.
Unless your cats wipe their paws when theyâre done, this wonât do much. Itâs very tough to get the litter out, hosing it down doesnât do anything and I have to shake it out for like ten minutes. No way to actually pour the litter into a box. Cats love to reach outside the box and claw at it throwing litter everywhere. They then just jump straight over the mat. I got peel and stick carpet and put it on a pizza box and thatâs working out better. Iâm thinking about getting a step platform instead.

This cat mat was perfect for my earlier needs: small enough to fit in a cramped laundry room or bathroom, and a great first line of defense against the litter my cat inevitably tracks out after doing her business.It works really well. You can actually see the litter collecting at the front of the litter box entrance instead of spreading dust everywhere like before. Cleaning it can be a bit annoying, especially if your cat has an accident on it (happened once, and paper towels did not survive the cleanup thanks to the matâs texture). To clean I typically vacuum weekly or more and shake it out every month.What you might want to know before buying, especially if you’re a first-time cat owner:1. Litter type matters:The amount of tracking depends heavily on the litter brand and type. If youâre using wood pellets (though some debate their safety for cats, do your research and talk to a vet!), tracking and dust will be minimal, and this mat would likely catch 100% of whatâs left.For finer, more granular litter (which I use), Iâd estimate this mat catches 75â90% of what gets tracked out. Thatâs a win in my book – the less litter I find scattered around, the better.2. Consider your litter box, your space, and your catâs behavior:This mat worked great when I had a smaller space. Now that Iâm in a larger laundry room, Iâm thinking of upgrading to a bigger mat.Cats have weird personalities and big opinions at times, and not all love the texture of litter mats. Some will run, leap over it, or try to avoid it altogether. Thankfully, my cat tolerates it, but in the bigger space, sheâs stepping off the mat sooner – which means more litter ends up on the floor.If youâve got a particularly messy cat, a top-entry litter box might help reduce tracking. Iâve seen this work well for friends. Just make sure the mat is big enough and well-positioned so your cat has to step on it when exiting.

This is the second one of these litter mats that I’ve purchased. They work great and are large enough to keep the mess limited to a small space. Also really easy to pick up and dump off any litter that lands on it.
