Most disappointing product I’ve EVER purchased from Amazon. AVOID. If you buy it, you own itâbecause it’s a rip-off. Thanks, Amazon! The magnets are very weak. Not what I thought I was getting. There is a NO RETURN policy for a reasonâotherwise everyone would return it. I did not notice the additional EXTREMELY high shipping fees. My apartment manager installed this system on my hot water heater three weeks ago. He told me about the changes it would make, but I had my doubts.My apartment building was built in the 1950s. I have lived here 18 years, and from the start, the water has tasted terrible and I have relied on a Britta filter system (water pitcher with charcoal filter that has to be replaced every three months).The change made by this system to my water it’s nothing short of remarkable! My water tastes wonderful–better than the Britta-filtered water!As I am retired and living on a fixed income, I am happy to to get rid of the filter expense. I have high hopes, based on the success with the drinking water, that the scaling problem in my bathroom will be eliminated as well.

I have had GMX Magnets for over 26 years and, as far as I can tell, they are still operating great. My water heater is still operating fine. I have never heard of a water heater lasting that long, so I had it checked. It was like new, and I attribute that to the Magnets ð§². My only question for GMX is, do they ever need replacement?

These have been on my house water line for 30 yrs.
My water heater was 5 yrs old when I put the GMX 800 on my house. This year my gas water heater started leaking so I replaced it. The water heater lasted 35 years. The little scale that shows up on the faucets is mild and easy to scrap off. I soaked my shower head twice in vinegar the 32 years I have lived here. These magnets work and I will be taking them with me when I move to put on my new house. The don’t wear out.
