Get ulcers under control with omeprazole, use this for prevention
I have a warmblood filly with ulcers. I treated her with omeprazole for a month, and at the end of the course added on magnagard. She really seems to like the flavor, doesnât refuse it as long as I put it in her feed before I give it to her and mix it in well (sheâs picky). I like putting a smidge of water in the bucket to make sure it really sticks to her food and doesnât end up in a pile at the bottom of her bucket. She did well on magnagard for a month, so I decided to try to wean it. She tried to kick me for touching her belly after only 2 days off. Restarted it and Iâve got my sweet baby back. Great stuff. Iâve also added it to my other mareâs food because she has a lot of diarrhea and is moody. Seems to have stopped the diarrhea (normal poops now) and also mellowed her out towards her herd mates a bit. Overall I recommend trying this product, but I do recommend a full 28 day course of omeprazole first to treat the ulcers, then start this. I do not think it is strong enough for monotherapy for full blown gastritis with ulcers, but once ulcers are under control, great product for prevention.

MagnaGard worked for my barrel horse!
I was told trough a hair analysis that my mare could possibly have ulcers. Without an doing extensive exam I did not feel comfortable spending 100s on ulcer meds. Thatâs when I found MagnaGard. I liked the natural benefits from it and the price point was worth me giving it a try. Thankfully the supplement works great and I saw immediate results in my mare, that led me to believe that original hair analysis was probably true and she was in fact suffering from ulcers. I love this product so much Iâve already re-purchased more! Eagle Equine Products are amazing!! I had a horse that was high stung and didnât eat well, a very hard keeper. I put her on the MagnaGard Gastric Support I was sure to mix it with water to stick with her grain since she is a picky eater and after a couple weeks, My mare was not nervous, she focused on the barrel pattern and we where lucky enough to win many prizes, buckles, money and saddles. Iâm a true believer it helps with their ulcers and gives them minerals they are lacking due to a high stress job. Not for picky eaters
I even tried mixing it with apple sauce, molasses anything you could think of and my horse still wouldnât eat it, but that may be because itâs clay based. If you feed alot of grain it should work the grain will mask it but mine gets enrich so he knew it was there

Was not expecting such awesome results!
I have a cribber who gets collicky a lot! He has been on SO MANY products and any weather change he is down with colic. I started doing research about nutrition and horses because he also got a yeast infection in his sheath of a things. I found out that magnesium is super valuable to a horses overall health and balance. I started looking for companies with formulas focusing on magnesium and calcium. I found Magnaguard and am SO HAPPY with the results. He has not colicked since I have been using this. Even my son noticed that my horse is doing so much better!

Be careful if your switching digestive products, big mistake for my horse
This product did not help my horse at all. I had him on Succeed and decided to try this because it was less expensive and it had pretty good reviews. After a short time of using it, (maybe a couple of weeks) my horse became anxious and gradually stopped eating his food. I’m having to treat him with Ulcer Gard now to try and get him back to normal. Will have to toss what I have left.

Very effective gastric support supplement
My 3 year old filly improved within a few weeks and is not showing the moderate symptoms of ulcers.She was sensitive to the touch in ulcer check points such as girth area and hind belly area.I used 2 scoops of MagnaGard in LMF Gold grain mix with 1 cup of corn oil and she ate every bit.I also used 4 treatments of Ulcergard the first week and now just have her on MagnaGard, plus a slow feederwith alfalfa hay so she has to “graze” all day.
