These are amazing
These fit the buckets nicely. You do need to use a bit of effort putting the attachment onto the bucket. Then, the top just screws on. Very easy to use. The quality of the material is good too. Itâs a hard plastic like the buckets. I havenât tried to submerge it or anything but it seems airtight. I think itâs pretty versatile. I have dog food in one and I canât smell it.

Quality does matter
My wife bought a generic knock off of these at Winco. They were extremely difficult to install. These lids went on very easily and made a nice tight seal.

Great for 5 gallon buckets
For what I am using these for (5 gallon buckets) these work great. They are a pain in the butt to get on, but once on (I did use a mallet) the screw top works well and does come with a seal. Haven’t tried to see if they’re leak proof, but I was using one of the buckets for Naphtha and when it was closed the smell of the liquid didn’t come through. I like that the lids are different colors as well, that way I don’t have to open them to know what’s inside.

Fit and works well
Good price and color combination. It fit 5 gallon buckets well. Outer ring only slightly tough to put on, screw top works well.

These are overall very nice lids. If you’re looking for a nearly airtight and certainly water tight seal, they will work. I was looking for truly airtight bucket lids to use for brewing beer. You have to crank these down very very tight to actually get them airtight. I was unable to do this by hand, so I made a wooden tool to get more leverage. Of the 3 lids I got, 2 had good o rings and go airtight with my wooden tool. One had an imperfection in the o ring. I bought a set of aftermarket o rings to improve the seal, problem solved.I have bought these multiple times. They are the best on the market even if they aren’t perfect. I wish they required less torque to get air tight, but I worked around it. To be fair, my buckets might not have perfectly flat tops anyway, so its hard to say what is at fault here.If you are wondering how I tell if they are air tight, I drilled holes in them for a rubber stopper and airlock. It doesnt bubble through the airlock if the lid isn’t air tight. When the beer is visibly fermenting but the airlock isn’t bubbling you know you aren’t airtight. Keep cranking until you see bubbles continuously moving through in the airlock.

Work well; hard to get on initially though
I use these on ny 5 gallon buckets to store grains. Getting the gamma lid on is tough! But that’s probably a good thing. It does have a lid that is easier to open for use of stored items, which works well. The colors are fun and I can use them to identify items inside by look. The price was good; cheapest I’ve found.

Perfect lids for keeping your food bug free.
The 5 lb bags of wheat that that I buy from the always seem to get those wheat bugs in them. No matter what I do those bugs/worms get into everything in the kitchen. I buy 25 lb bags of high gluten wheat flour and put it in these buckets with the lids. In the past few years I haven’t seen 1 single wheat beetle or worm in the wheat flour that I stored in a bucket with these lids. Shown in the pictures is a bucket of Hard Red wheat berries that I store with one of these Gamma 2 lids. I’ve read reviews that said these lids are hard to installed. These lids were very easy for me to install. 1st I unscrew the center lid and then lay the outer ring on a 5 gallon bucket. Next I push down on the ring with both of my palms and work my way around the ring. It takes about 5-10 seconds to install the ring with very little effort.
