Great little heat lamp!
We purchased 2 of these lamps. We changed out to lower wattage bulb due to use for geckos. They are perfect!!

Safety Grate Not Safe
If you have crested geckos or chewies do not use this product inside or directly on top of your cage. The whole product, including the safety grate covering the bulb, gets extremely hot. If you have a wire screen cage top, that will get hot as well. Cresteds and similar geckos crawl across the cage top and sometimes nose the screen. If you put this product directly on the screen your gecko will get burned. Otherwise, the product works as advertised and serves as a good low profile heat lamp. I highly recommend two additions: Place a 5â or 6â diameter kitchen cooling rack under the lamp (see picture). The rack should be 3/4 to 1â tall. This allows enough heat to dissipate so as not to cause a hot screen. Additionally, I do not recommend using this or any heat lamp without a thermostat setup to turn the lamp off when the basking area reaches a good temperature.

Works as intended!
I love how it is compact and can hook it to the top my cresties cage. Doesn’t fall off and heats her vivarium very nicely! Love Repti Zoo products and will continue to purchase their products. Highly recommend.

Springs issue
Springs constantly pop off both lights included in box no longer work because it kept falling because of the flimsy springs.
