Greatest way to remove longer loose hair
I have a Golden Retriever and have every type of brush and comb, but nothing was getting deep enough to really pull out the loose hair. It’s amazing how well this works and with such little effort. In a few minutes, I can get 10 times what anything else was getting. The weight of the rake and quality is excellent. Her hair has never looked better, and it’s so soft! I highly recommend this product!!! I don’t think I’ll ever use anything else.

We Furminate daily!
We have six dogs, most of them double coated. After trying just about every other style of brush and rake, I took a chance on this one. IT WORKS! Even our tender skinned dogs don’t mind being Furminated, it’s gentle brushing against the hair as well as with it. Pulls out a ton of loose hair without snagging, and all you do is pull the hair off the teeth! Fits nicely in the hand, not too heavy but clearly made well, worth the money.

Carry it on all our walks
This grooming tool works very well on my Malamute. Removes a good amount of hair and is easy to clen off the tool. I like to use it on our walks at the park. She enjoys the grooming when she wants to rest.

We had the old version with the flat, close-in pins (for long-haired dogs), and while it worked, our dog wanted nothing to do with it.I broke this out of the packaging, let him sniff it, went to work on his coat, and was immediately impressed by how well this worked–without needing to add pressure or tug at tangles!*PROS:- Easy to use (again, without adding pressure)- The “rotating” pins really seemed to help move tool smoothly through the coat (no catching and pulling hair to cause discomfort)- Works on mats and smaller tangles with little effort (might have to start at the bottom for the bigger ones)- Pins are long enough to get through our golden’s coat and massage his skin- Rounded pin tips prevented discomfort from scrapes and scratches- One tool does it all for us! Brushing, massage, deshedding…*BONUS: He was wagging his tail and staying still while I went to work, even when I attacked his neck/chest beard and ears! I collected handful after handful of undercoat after what I considered a long and successful brushing just 2-3 days earlier.*CON: The tool helped loosen the hair so well that small clumps of undercoat would literally fly into the air (rather than bunch up *on him* at the end of my stroke, as happened when using other brushes/combs). I think I got even more hair on me than usual (and my black pants–because aren’t goldens only supposed to be brushed when you’re wearing dark colors? ð), but I’m okay with this.What we tried before:- wire slicker brush: Worked well, especially with any matted hair, but he really didn’t like the wire bristles. Great with tangles, but I’d have to be really careful not to apply too much pressure or I could scratch or puncture him (or myself).- Furminator rake: With this tool (got one specifically for long-haired dogs), I never really got why Furminator was so positively regarded. For the most part it just semed to catch and *pull* at his hair (the pins were so closely set!). I had to apply extra pressure to get to the undercoat, which doggo didn’t like (it could/would scrape his skin), but it got the job done. Overall it was too cumbersome to use regularly, but I kept it in an attempt to be a responsible golden retriever dog owner (even if I didn’t use it).- combo plastic bristle + pin brush: This was our go-to tool (until now, heh heh heh!). Our doggo liked/tolerated this one well. Any increased pressure made the pins massage his skin harder (without causing discomfort), while the bristles caught the loose hairs/undercoat. Unfortunately, it did NOT do well with mats or any small knots/tangles, so I’d break out the wire slicker (above) for those sessions.

Fur mats GONE!
We have the FURminator “deshedding tool” and a standard double sided pin/bristle brush, which are both great. THIS one, though, this one can pull out those deep mats that the others can touch. The pin brush can work sometimes, but has too much give to tackle stubborn mats, but the stiff tines of this Grooming Rake can get deep into the longer coat and really work out the tangles. Love this! We have a Golden Retriever and a Lab/Chow mix, and works great on both!

This is the brush to add to my grooming arsenal for my Husky that I didn’t know I needed. I have a regular furminator for deshedding, a slicker brush, a dual sided pet “Wet Brush” for small maintenace brushing, and I even did have a grooming rake of another brand and it was actually the brush I used the least because it seemed like it didn’t do much! I kept reading all these articles and reviews for best brushes for dual coated dog grooming, and Siberian Huskies in particular and this one kept getting mentioned so I figured for the price I had to try it. I felt like my Husky was groomed pretty well and looked pretty good; she had her bath, blow out, a few good brushing sessions, and you didn’t see any of those pluckable hair tufts and then when I started brushing her with this rake I was shocked how much hair I was getting. It gets down deeper to that undercoat really well without pulling and you can’t overdo it like a traditional furminator. Aside from getting all the hair, it leaves my Husky’s fur looking very smooth and sleek without looking like someone took a rake in sand like some comb-style brushes do. This rake’s teeth are long enough and set far enough apart to be more than efficient for dual coated dogs, I guess I just had a crappy one before thinking that they didn’t do much. My dad has a Husky as well and I had to show him the magic of this brush on his and now he wants one too! I definitely recommend this to anyone with a dual coated dog.

We have a husky and pet hair is a constant topic of conversation at home! I am always on the lookout for grooming tools that can help us manage our pet’s shedding in any way imaginable!I’ve been hesitant about buying anything FURminator related, because the price tag associated with their products is unappealing, considering there are other grooming brushes available at a lower cost.However, I have had this for a few weeks now and having tried and tested it daily, I can safely say that it lives up to its reputation and my expectations. Its features make it a valuable tool for dealing with shedding issues on a daily basis. My husky DOES NOT LIKE TO BE GROOMED and with this brush (when used without pressure) he literally lies down for the entire time it takes me to finish removing excess fur!I can’t really feedback that it reduces shedding as I’ve not experiences that benefit yet, however I would still recommend this product based on it’s ease of use and efficacy.Something to look out for: It may not be suitable for all coat types; it requires cautious use because I found that excessive pressure during grooming caused discomfort to my dog.All in all, I would recommend this product to other owners of dogs with undercoats or long fur in general and dogs that tend to have loose hair. Also, the loose hair remains attached to the brush, which is another feature that I really like rather than it flying everywhere as I’ve sometimes found while using other tools.
