My cats love cardboard scratchers. I was replacing a scratcher that I keep on my basement stairs which was torn to shreds.This scratcher has a similar wave shape that seems to really appeal to them compared to the flat kind. Something about it really allows them to did their claws in.They speed up and down the stairs in the usual way cats do, pausing to release some kitty stress and energy on the scratcher on the way.If you havenât tried these cardboard scratchers,I highly recommend them.Cardboard and twine scratching posts are my catsâ favorites. They really save my furniture and carpet. The cardboard does shed a bit as the cats wear it down, but not too bad.Iâm able to keep things under control with a weekly vacuumingThe cardboard is really dense and holds up to abuse. It is more dense than the flat scratchers that I typically find in the pet stores.Amazing value! Very happy with it!

She loves to scratch on it and sleep on it.
My cat instantly jumped on it as I took it out of the box and used it as a scratching post.She uses it every day and loves it.She sleeps on it through the day and scratches on it all through the day.She doesnât care for the feather and bell. (Normally she loves feathers but not this one.She doesnât use the brush on it or rub on it. I donât think the brush is made out of a materail she cares for. Note, she does love brushes and rubbing on brushes, just not this one.

It was easy to assemble. The heavy-duty cardboard is wide enough for our cats to lay on it. I was hoping for a stiff bristle brush. One of our cats is a hard ‘Cheek-rubber’ but our cats love it! It will take them a while to shred the cardboard.

My Shadow absolutely loves her Fukumaru Pet Fur Grooming Cat Scratching Pad! Loves it! So much, in fact, that the first one only lasted 3-4 months before the brush was totally worn out, even though I turned it around, so that she’d use the other side when the first side was worn. Additionally, the holes where the wire goes, even with the padded “feet”, get a bit worn out; she gets so into it that she rubs UP hard inside the brush and pushes one side of the wire out of its hole.It would be good if the wire were held from the other side of the base, so that it wouldn’t be pushed up out of the footing. I’d also like to buy replacement brushes, perhaps in a pack; the base seems sturdy enough for a while.Overall, I’m very happy with my groomer/scratching pad; my cat loves it. There are simply some things that I would like improved in future.

Better for smaller cats but my big cat still likes it.
It’s a little small so my bigger cat doesn’t like going under the loop, but he likes brushing his face against the bristles and clawing the base. It has a much better build quality than a previous version I had where the bristles would just rip out of the base, these get screwed in from underneath using some pretty decent hardware that seem like they’ll outlast the base, so I don’t worry about him breaking it.
