Customers say
Customers find this cat litter superior to clay alternatives, appreciating its absorbency for urine and ease of cleaning, with one customer noting it can be vacuumed up in seconds. Moreover, they consider it good value for money and effective for declawed kittens. However, the odor control receives mixed feedback, with some customers reporting it doesn’t trap smells well. Additionally, customers disagree on whether it clumps like regular litter.

Perfect for a rescue cat that had already been declawed.
I bought this litter for my momâs cat after we realized he just couldnât handle regular clumping clay litter. Whether it was due to allergies, his declawed paws, or just plain sensitivity, he was avoiding the litter box â which meant extra stress for both him and us. Switching to Fresh News Recycled Paper Pellets made all the difference, and it probably saved us a trip to the vet.Why It Works⢠Gentle on Paws: The soft, rounded paper pellets are far easier for a sensitive or declawed cat to step on. He went back to using the box right away.⢠Low Dust & Allergy Friendly: Virtually no dust cloud when you pour it in, which is great for cats (and people) with allergies.⢠Odor Control: For being a paper-based litter, I was impressed â it absorbs odor really well without artificial perfumes.⢠Packaging & Delivery: Arrived sealed, no rips or spills in the bag. Prime delivery was quick and reliable.⢠Value for Money: It costs a little more than standard clay litter, but itâs 100% worth it to keep the cat comfortable and healthy.Extra Bonus: Itâs made from 100% recycled paper, so it feels like a win for the environment too.Bottom Line: If youâve got a cat with allergies, sensitivities, or paw issues, this litter is a gentle, safe solution. Itâs worth the price just to keep the litter box stress-free and avoid unnecessary vet visits.#AmazonFinds #DobermanMom #DobermanSafe #CatCare #PetEssentials #EcoFriendly

Only thing I’ll use, now!
The only thing I’d remembered about paper litter was the negative, the fact that you can’t just sift out the wet bits with a straining scoop. (tips on that to follow) But, my cat Tesla got a serious infection from clay litter compacted in a claw, and we had to switch to paper litter till it healed.I have two of their 4 litter boxes in one tiny room. The shelves and everything in there are always covered in white dust from clay litter. I clean it away and it’s everywhere again in no time. The grit from clay always gets spread everywhere and scratches the floors. Not having that dust anymore is reason enough to switch to fresh news. My Asthmatic cat certainly agreesPros:With the paper litter, there’s no cloud of dust in my face when I clean the boxes, and no floor grit.I don’t have to worry about any more toe infections from impacted clay in claws. One 25 lb bag of paper litter is lasting me twice as long as a 30 lb bucket of clay litter.Cheaper, because it lasts longer. It’s a great way to make use of recycled paper.I’m can compost it.Available in UNSCENTED! fragrances are bad for cats and perfume+poo doesn’t smell any better than just poo. If you’re allergic to most added fragrances (like I am) this is extra important.Since I’m allergic to soy inks the compost will only be for flowers, not veg, but that’s still better than piles of clay in a land fill.Tips:The more often you scoop, the easier it is to find the used bits. Litter boxes should always be scooped daily, regardless of litter type, but doing it frequently also makes it easier to spot peed-on litter before it dries. If your cat pees only small amounts at a time, the paper can dry out before you go to scoop. If this happens, look for swollen bits. Thicker bits mean they expanded from having gotten wet.Tesla covers his tiny pee spots, so I gently scoop back top bits until I see lower bits that look a bit swollen or are coming apart. I scoop out swollen ones and some around it.My other cat, Schroedinger, has serious excess urination and doesn’t cover anything. This litter can handle her buckets of pee, as the paper just swells up and soaks it up like sponges.I heavily recommend using biodegradable puppy pee pads as liners in the boxes. If a dribble gets through the gaps between paper bits, they absorbs it. Every so often I let the boxes get low. After scooping, I pour unused litter into a bag and put the liner in my paper compost, add a new liner, and dump the litter back in.Plastic absorbs odors. I used to have to empty, scrub, and soak our boxes ever so often to appease my picky cat. Paper doesn’t stick to the plastic like clay, so it would be easier now even if I didn’t use the liners. But with the liners, I don’t usually bother. Sometimes I mist the bottom of the box with alcohol and let it dry before putting in a new liner.

Little to no mess and great odor control
My cat didnât use the litter the first day, maybe because I replaced his litter box too. I had a plastic cover litter box and switched it to the stainless steel. He was curious about the litter and started eating a piece of it lol. He did that twice, but didnât start using the litter until the next day at night time (my poor baby didnât use the litter for almost 2 days). This litter is awesome. I just wish it wasnât that pricey. Hopefully, 12 lbs of this bag lasts over a month. The litter smells like newspaper, Iâd rather smell that than cat poop and pee. It control odor really well, dust free, little to no tracking around the litter box and nothing was sticking to his paws. I notice thereâs no clumping so the urine goes to the bottom and if my cat not covering his feces, itâs just sitting on top. So that you have to scoop it out often. I would recommend it to give it a try.

No smell
I donât understand why people are stating this litter smells bad and itâs wasteful. I disagree. Iâve only used this litter for my 2 rescues and they are almost 1 year. My house has no smell. I dispose of their pooping and my kitties pee in one spot, so itâs easy to remove the wet spot. I love that the litter doesnât get everywhere and stays in the box. I have 3 litter boxes for 2 cats. Maybe other cat owners are feeding bad smelling cat food, so the litter smells bad. I will never change litter. This is the BEST!

Great replacement for clumping clay
Great cat litter, clumps a little but not a lot. Handles the smell well and is a great replacement for clumping clay. Is a great value for the money. We have 3 cats and a bag last almost a whole month with 3 litter boxes. Clean and replace the litter each day and replace the whole box litter once per month. The pieces are thicker and so they don’t fall through the scooper. The color changes some when it is ready to replace. The two pictures show the new litter and the used.

Obsessed with this litter. Used it for my old man cat while he was alive and now with my new kitten, no dust or tracking. No lingering smells. My favourite litter by far.

Arena tipo pellet de papel reciclado, no de madera ni de otro material, y sin aroma. Justo lo que buscaba, aunque el precio me parece un poco elevado.

Dust-free, odor eliminating, doesn’t clump, doesn’t spread or fly out of the box since each pellet it large and heavier than other types of natural litter. Very easy to scoop and replace, keeps the box very clean. Better than all other types of litter I’ve tried.

I buy this regularly as it is by far the best product I have found. It leaves little mess and very little odour.Using a bag, I pick out my cat’s leavings soon after they’re left, and clean out the box once a week. The urine is adequitely absorbed leaving little or no smell, even at the end of the week. When it come to cleaning the box, this product doesn’t all stick together nor does it stick to the litter box making it very simple and mess free to clean. I recommend this to anyone who uses a cat litter tray. Our cat has just had kittens so we will soon be needing a lot more cat litter, I will not hesitate in buying this particular product.
