Easy to set up and great to sleep on
I have had a water bed since 1980! It’s the only way for me to sleep because it conforms to my body and I never wake up with an arm or leg that is sleeping… tingles! I can’t sleep on a regular hard bed, just too uncomfortable. That said, I have had my last water bed mattress for several years and it felt like it was starting to stretch. I kept having to increase the amount of water to keep it filled at the level I like. I ordered this new mattress. Came in a single box. I installed the liner that came with it, and it is very good and fairly solid sides. Placed the new mattress in the liner/frame. Used the included filling tools to fill the mattress with water. Took about an hour or so. Used a broomstick to push the excess air out of the filled mattress. Turned on the heater (my heater, mattress does not include a heater). First night I put a thick comforter on top and slept on that so I would not get cold from the unheated water. Last night was night number 2 and the bed was nice and toasty warm. Slept like a log! I read a number of reviews here that complain about the terrible smell. My mattress has no smell at all. I was expecting it after everything I read here, but there is no smell whatsoever. I am extremely happy with this mattress. It is built well and comes with everything you need to set it up. You do have to own your own waterbed heater or buy one. The mattress is wave-less and just plain nice to lay on. I’m back in heaven now!

BETTER than my old waterbed …
WOW. I slept on my new waterbed mattress for the first time last night (it took 3 days for the water to heat). It is amazing, almost like sleeping on a cloud. A cloud with substance. lol It’s so much better than my 20+ year old mattress, which was 95% waveless. My new mattress is 99% waveless. It has the give of a buffered waterbed mattress, but doesn’t have any sloshing. Really, I am just blown away at how comfortable it is. I will add that I have an extra plush mattress cover, which helps, I’m sure. Now then, to address the overpowering smell of plastic … Yes, it stank to high heaven when the heater started warming up the water. Too late to lay it out in sunshine for a couple of days, as one website recommended. Also too late to repeatedly soap down the entire mattress and rinse it off until the smell dissipated. So what I did was spray Clorox disinfecting mist over the mattress. Helped. However, the smell just seemed to intensify in the room and hallway. So I resprayed the filled mattress as well as the entire room, hallway and adjoining bathroom. At least 5 times. It did the job. No more smell. I slept soooo good, no tossing and turning, just relaxing in boneless comfort. I will also add I am a 68 year old woman, and installed the waterbed all on my own. It’s that user-friendly. And durable! Just watch a couple of how to fill waterbed mattress videos before doing it solo for the first time. Enjoy!

A better wave dampening bed
Have had a regular free flow waterbed for years now. This model is entirely an upgrade. I still get the warmth and feel of a waterbed, but i no longer sink at the edges. Its so much easier to get into or out of the bed because the bed holds its shape well rather than sinking in at the point of most weight.One thing i will say is the name “waveless” sets up a bit of a false expectation. I would more describe the bed as “wave dampening”. The wave still exists (its a waterbed), but it dissapates very quickly. When i would move in my old bed i would rock back and forth several times, not so with this bed – once at most.I havnt tried emptying the bed yet, but i do forsee that as more of an issue than a regular water bed simply because i will likely have to squeeze out the material inside the bed.Will update if things change.

Exactly how advertised. Superior to my previous mattress. I am satisfied. Been sleeping like a baby since it arrived. As far as that odor complaint, it does have some because it is made out of vinyl which is to be expected. I aired mine out in the sun for a few hours before installing it the next day. Let it breathe for a while. Worked out fine.

Horrible Chemical smell
Mattress had a bad chemical smell that did not dissipate after 7 days, actually gave me a headache and chest congestion. It also had a small leak, which was thankfully trapped by the safety liner. The return policy of this company is absurd. The only way you can return the item is to have never have been opened the original packaging, and no water to have been inside the mattress. So basically, you cant return the item. How would you know if it leaked or that the chemical smell would not go away if you didn’t open the package??Also no clue to where the POS mattress was made (im guessing china), from what I read any waterbed mattress that was stored in a hot environment will be chemically altered and will never stop outgassing.So I went to a dedicated waterbed site, and found an American made matters and liner that have zero smell. I highly suggest if you are looking for a mattress to not use this company.
