Great small pond fountain.
We have a very small pond and this pump really does a great job, especially when we clean off the pump intake.

Very quiet
I used this in a 4″ deep font in a grotto with some rocks. It pumps robustly, and VERY silently. This was crucial because the whole point was silence. It will burn out if you run it dry, but I won’t deduct a star for it. That happened, my fault, bought a new one, didn’t set me back much.

Amazing for thawing frozen meats!
I bought this for a different reason than that it’s made for. I saw on Alton Brown’s social media that he uses this to quickly thaw really big frozen meats. I tried it for the first time yesterday. I was able defrosting a 3 pack of frozen costco chicken in about 2 hours. What you do is submerge your frozen package in water and have the water pump inside so that it circulates the water. Having worked in restaurants all my life I didn’t really believe it was going to work. But it worked like a charm! Thank you Alton Brown!

Perfect for outdoor fountain!
Ordered this pump for my outdoor fountain and it works perfectly! The pump is small (fits in the palm of my hand), but has some power. Iâve only used it a couple of days so not sure on longevity but so far Iâm happy, especially at this price point.

Not for salt-water fish tanks. Exposed metal parts.
This is NOT for marine aquariums! It only tells you that when you read the directions enclosed with the pump. Had to return it.
