Serves it’s purpose well
When I received this, I thought that it was more lightweight than I expected but it is serving it’s purpose well. I have tried other fruit holders in the past with hardly any luck. When I received it, I halved an apple and placed it on the two rods ….. the birds were able to perch on this one, (one bird at a time) and they ate both apple halves in record time, leaving only the skin behind! This week I bought myself a watermelon, but it turned out that it wasn’t as ripe as I thought it was, so instead of throwing it away, I cut it into tiny “beak” sized morsels and filled the little cup with watermelon pieces and it’s been a big hit with the birds! What I didn’t like about this feeder was the little jewel hanging on the top….. although cute and I’m sure it’s intention is to attract birds, I felt that it was flimsy and I didn’t want the birds to peck or pull it off and have one of my dogs eat it. What I DO like about it is that the little cup is removable and easy to clean and bring into the house to refill with tiny bits of fruit or whatever treat you choose to put it in. Overall, I love it.

Pay attention to actual size.
Was way smaller than I anticipated. Should have paid attention to the measurements. No Orioles yet, still hoping this attracts them in. Smaller oranges are better suited to this, as the prongs you put them on, don’t leave a lot of room for the birds to get between.

Oriole Feeders
I LOVE these feeders. Easy to fill, easy to clean. Birds LOVE them. 2 years ago I had 2 orioles. This year, more than a dozen. Had to get more feeders for spring time cause I know will have more of these beautiful birds

Squirrels cannot run off with the bowl since it is secured
What I like about this feeder is that the clips hold the cup in place so that the squirrels do not take the cup and run off with it as they have done with others. Orioles, Cat birds, Cardinals all seem to like it. If you use the clementine oranges they fit just fine. Standard size oranges are too large for this feeder. Very easy to clean.

Oriole Feeder not what I expected
Smaller than it appears. Disappointed, but will keep it. The little clips that hold the dish in, most likely won’t last very long.

Best purchase I ever made
Best Amazon purchase I ever made. The orioles love this thing. I put our homemade Concord grape jelly in the bottom with the orange slices. Most sightings I’ve seen of these gorgeous birds in Maine and I’ve lived in this state since 2000. Males and females. It’s been GLORIOUS. They are shy, difficult to get them on camera. But here’s a photo I was able to capture.

Looks cute poorly made
While it looks cute, it is not good quality. I bought this one over another very similar one because it stated that the bowl was glass which I preferred over the other that stated theirs was made of plastic. However it also said that it holds the bowl sturdy and that is very debatable. It has small thin metal tabs which can sort of fold over the edge of the bowl. They were not properly aligned to hold securely and I am certain that it will break after a few times opening and closing. This is a bird feeder so the bowl will need to be removed and cleaned OFTEN! The main structure is also thin and not very strong. I can’t imagine that it will last even a season of outdoor use. It is not worth the hassle to try and return it with the current stay at home orders in place, however, I don’t trust it as designed for outdoor use and will not buy it again or recommend it to others. I will either be donating mine or repurposing it into something for indoor use that also will not require the bowl to be removed periodically.

My orioles love it. It’s quite small so I use mandarins for the oranges & put grape jelly in the middle bowl. They’ve stuck around longer since using this over my other orange saucer type.
