Read this before replacing!!!
Is your Fluval Flex 9 pump barely moving water? Not running like it used to? Noisy?Have you rinsed the sponge?If not, pull the pump. Unplug. There is a front piece on the pump that slides of with some force. Just behind the intake vents there is a sponge. I guarantee this small sponge is caked with sludge. Rinse it thoroughly under the sink. Rinse the tubes and the impeller/ output nozzles. Replace. Should run like new, if you haven’t burnt the motor from prolonged running while clogged.You should rinse this sponge monthly.

I ordered this pump in 2/14/25 and itâs already failing 3/7/25. It is half the power output it was three weeks ago. This is the second pump I have gone through with my Fluval tank in under 9 months. Does anyone know of a better alternative?

Great Pump ~ Just not a long life
I will give this 4 stars, because it is a great pump. My problem is they do not last a long time as anything else these days. Life expectance is around 6-7 months. Which I think should be more like 1-2 years.

Found it a bit confusing that it didnât have the tube and nozzle but we tried it with the old tube and we now have a happy fish again

Die Leistung war immer gut aber irgendwann gab sie dann den Geist auf.Also musste eine neue Pumpe her.Zuerst hatte ich eine günstigere Alternative gekauft aber es wurde sehr schnell klar, daà man das Original kaufen muss.Das Päckchen kam pünktlich und war anständig Verpackt.Die Montage war sehr einfach und die Pumpe läuft wie geschmiert und bringt eine gute Leistung.Tip:Bitte darauf achten das man die richtige Pumpe für das entsprechende Becken auswählt.Das Fluval Flex gibt es in drei verschiedenen GröÃen.
