Customers say
Customers find the reptile lamp to be of good quality and appreciate its heat retention capabilities. However, the functionality receives mixed feedback, with some saying it works well while others report it stops working. Moreover, the sturdiness is a concern as units arrive dented, and the lifespan is also mixed, with some units holding up well while others break quickly.

Perfect and functional
Got this for my leopard gecko 30 gallon (40 gallon length and width) and he loves it heâs always under it. Keeps temps regulated well and easy to use. Top doesnât get too hot but I still grab it for short periods of time

Great for my purpose
I’m using them as portable trouble lights with low wattage LEDs. No problems. I have read of switches melting and burning. I may preemptively change out the cords. Constructed well and price was great.I left a question asking how much wattage was used when the switches melted/burned but have not received an answer.

Best Value for the Money
This review is for the Fluker’s deluxe 10 inch clamp lamp. Designed by a top-flight engineer, it is a beauty to behold. Sadly though, after engineering and production; this beautiful lamp is send to the Fluker’s shipping department (which must be run by the owners nephew). The Shipping dept takes this beautiful lamp and sticks a plastic bag filled with the heavy spring clamp and mounting hardware in a baggy and places it in the box beside the dome reflector of the lamp. All the packing dept had to do was wrap the mounting hardware in bubble wrap! So, as the baggy bangs around in transit, dimples from the loose baggy hardware appear on that beautiful aluminum inside/black painted outside reflector. So, i dropped a star from an otherwise 5 star review for poor packing. Dimples gonna happen, doesn’t affect the performance of the lamp, but still, i hope Fluker’s can afford to buy some bubble wrap for the parts bags for future shipments. Another review mentions those two stickers inside the reflector. Well, that sticker removal was 20 minutes i will never get back in my life; so my recommendation is just leave them alone, you don’t really notice them. But try to remove them and whew! what a time waster to remove the glue goo. i finally used penetrating oil and still that goo held on for dear life, it is not worth messing with. Assembly: Fluker’s should show a better picture of the knurled adapter which fits IN the base clamp. I thought the knurled part came unscrewed and screwed into two pre-drilled holes in the base clamp halves, but that knurled adapter don’t turn, you fit the whole knurled part inside the base clamp halves and clamp it down where the pre-dilled holes are while you are clamping the base clamp to the ceramic socket of the lamp. So just a few nits to pick in a bargain of a large 10″ reflector light with good quality parts which works perfectly and the clamp is strong.

Clamp on reptile lamp heater housing
Bought this along with a 50wt ceramic infrared bulb for my canaries I bought at a Bird Expo. Poor birds were not very healthy. They love the heat. Lamp housing is perfect to help my birds get better.

A Classic Accessory
I’ve been using Fluker’s heat lamps since I started getting into reptiles as a teenager. They last a very long time, whether you use the classic on/off switch or the dimmable switch. The price on Amazon is FAR better than the price at any other pet store. Whether a basking bulb or a simple ceramic heat emitter, you cannot go wrong with this lamp.

Great fixture! Will be buying again!
So Amazon had these in a deal. I needed some. I bought several of them. They are big, but they reflect light wonderfully, as well as heat! They are thinner and flatter than the normal dome fixtures, but that makes them even more easy to use in tight spaces. They do tend to dent a little easier than the others, but there’s no reason they should be man-handled either, so they work perfect for whatever you need them for. Mine has a switch on the cord, which is a plus for daytime/nighttime regulating. I highly recommend these fixtures to anyone looking for something for their reptiles.

Works for infrared light therapy & isn’t ugly!
I like that there’s a clamp lamp shade that’s got black enamel on it instead of just industrial looking metal so it will blend into my room that’s all black furniture. Does it’s job directing the light. The only small annoyance is that they put a sticker on the inside that doesn’t look great and leaves a sticky residue when you remove it, maybe some orange oil will get it off? The print on the base that secures the bulb isn’t too great either, but very faint. Have paired it with a near infrared bulb to treat pain & inflammation.Update: broke a lot more quickly than others sadly.

Worked for 4 months. The last one I bought at a pet store randomly stopped working after 10 months. I reached out to the company directly last time and they were unhelpful. I will be trying a different brand.

Purchased for our hedgehog cage. Be mindful that this lamp gets very very hot on the outside of it. It works well however I would not have purchased if I knew that. It doesn’t have a light to say it’s hot or an automatic shut off if it gets overheated. We are still learning.

We will see how long it lasts.. but it works wellJust wish the power button was at least color coded LoL.

This is the second lamp I ordered, the first was poorly made I asked for a replacement this is the replacement, if you look at it itâs extremely crooked, screwed in, itâs not the bulb itâs the lamp and itâs dented on the sides. Both lamps were awful the replacement was worse though, very disappointing!
