Can mealworms be given to birds?
Yes! Mealworms aren’t just for reptiles! We find that avid bird watchers love putting mealworms in their bird feeders.
What birds eat mealworms?
Bluebirds are the most popular to buy mealworms for. But even if you don’t have the right habitat for bluebirds, many other birds will enjoy them, including wrens, orioles, woodpeckers, and some warblers, like the Pine Warbler
Can pets other than reptiles eat mealworms?
Yes! Mealworms are also an abundant food source for many animals. Birds, spiders, chickens, reptiles, fish, and even other insects prey on mealworms to find a high protein and fat source in the wild, and it is much the same in captivity!

Good quality meal worms in interesting shipping container, but via USPS so longer wait
I was not prepared for the meal worm condo to arrive. My USPS carrier left the uniquely designed shipping box in my mailbox, with the door open. I live on a country road so not much traffic. But there wasn’t the usual “package delivered” alert that would pop up on my email since it was shipped USPS vs Fed EX or UPS. I will same though it was a mess to unpack, the mealworms were large and in excellent health. Usually in summer, I get die offs, but not shipped in the unique container. I’reordered, but am hopeful the seller will consider using a private carrier who alerts the night before and day of, so you have an approximate time to know of arrival. USPS debts me emails, but it doesn’t identify the specific shipment and gives whole days for delivery expectations.

Very healthy mealworms
Bought these for my Leopard Gecko. They arrived quickly and are very reasonably priced. Looks like very healthy, active mealworms. I had previously bought mealworms from the pet store. Not the best quality from the pet store. I’ll be ordering from this seller from now on.

Exceptional Deal! Worms are fresh and sized correctly.
These worms are an exceptional deal!! I used to buy from a local pet store. I paid the same price for 500 worms at the pet store as I do for 2000 worms here!!! The pet store worms were old, and at least a quarter of the worms in each container were dead. Fluker’s worms are alive and fresh.I have purchased large mealworms from Fluker’s three times. Each time, the worms were 1) alive, 2) the right size, and 3) in the proper condition. I’ve ordered from other companies and received 1) dead worms (about 15%), 2) worms that were so small my tweezers couldn’t even pick them up, and 3) worms that had already turned into pupae and beetles.Fluker’s worms have been the proper size and remained healthy. and with the exception of maybe 10 – 20 out of 2000 worms, they have remained alive while stored in the fridge in wheat germ. I do leave them out for a day each week and put a carrot in the container for the worms to obtain water.

Best mealworms I have ever bought
I had some trepidation about ordering in winter but we had a warm spell when I thought they would be safe and they were. They arrived on time packaged in a convenient cylindrical container (I ordered 1000) with a piece of paper egg carton (probably damp for a little moisture). The worms were large and as far as I could tell every one was alive and in good shape. They were also very clean and free from dirt and debris. If I need more mealworms sometime I will definitely order them from these folks again.

Buy in bulk, and put them in oatmeal in the fridge as soon as delivered.
Believe it or not, I had some mealworms left that I bought beginning of May, and I put out the last of it beginning of October. Some were dead, but the bulk was still alive and became a snack quite quickly when put out. I recommend this supplier and will most definitely buy from them again next breeding season. All the Eastern Bluebirds, Chicadees, Wrens and Titmouses loved to come and get some for their young ones.
