Repta-Sun Incandescent Lighting For Basking Animals. Repta-Sun Incandescent light bulbs provide the radiant heat (infrared light) that reptiles need. Reptiles are ectothermic and depend on their environmental temperature to regulate their core body temperature. If a reptile is not provided an appropriate environmental temperature range (ETR), it may be predisposed to chronic infections. Because ETRs vary from species to species, ask your pet professional or review available literature for guidance in determining the appropriate ETR for your pet. A Fluker’s thermometer can be used to monitor temperature within the reptile’s environment. Reptile behavior is directly tied to photoperiiod (light cycle), so it is important to provide appropriate intervals o flight and darkness. Fluker’s recommenda a 12-hour day/ 12-hour night light cycle. A Fluker’s Daytime bulb should be used during the daytime cycle.

    Long lasting, reliable lightbulb!
Just great to help keep hens warm during cold evenings, (5:30pm – 11pm) and extends their hours of daylight during winter, for better egg production.

Used in ball python enclosure. Good balance of natural light and heat.

    Lizard likes it
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I like that this is a combo light. My lizard enjoys basking under it. I hope it lasts as long as advertised.

A dud at the worst possible time
Unreliability will be why I won’t be purchasing another Flukers bulb.I swapped this bulb out 3 days before going on an 11 day trip. By day two I could see through live cam feed that the light went out. I didn’t think it could be my light fixture (rated for 200w) but having used Flukers before, I refused to believe it was the brand new bulb.Well it was the bulb and because this went out on day 2 of me being out of town, my baby was without heat and light for the next 10 days. She regurgitated her last meal for the first time ever and probably thinks that I abandoned her sick + hungry + cold + left in the dark.Bought January 25th, installed March 4th, departed March 6th, bulb died on March 7th, returned home March 17th.I am really disappointed. This is not the first Flukers bulb I’ve purchased but it’s the first to fail me in such a big way. I don’t understand why none of the others have had this issue yet this one did this the one time I go out of town in over two years. And go figure that I deserve a refund but I’m beyond the window to request one even though this bulb is not only useless but may have caused harm though I hope not. I’m reluctant to dig her up without anything to properly heat her so now I’ve got to hunt for a bulb with fast shipping and I’m still out the cost of a 150w dead bulb.

    Burnt
I usually don’t have an issue with these bulbs but this particular one didn’t last very long. It emits a decent amount of light but only lasted less than a month as opposed to my last ones that lasted 3 months. I guess it overheated and blew up.

Great bulb to go with your flukers dome lamps
Works as told, tested it with my flukers dimmable clamp lamp. I was scared the 75 watts wouldn’t tolerate the dome but it did! It allowed me to set the brightness for my geckos during the day and it still produces heat! So far no bulb issues or blow outs yet I do hope it lasts for the time!

    Don’t buy it!
Burned out two days after we got it. Was replaced with a new one. It burned out a week after getting it. So we were replaced with yet another new bulb. And sadly it lasted 4 days Tried 3 different light fixture housings. Straight trash.
