Repta-Sun Incandescent Lighting For Basking Animals. Repta-Sun Incandescent light bulbs provide the radiant heat (infrared light) that reptiles need. Reptiles are ectothermic and depend on their environmental temperature to regulate their core body temperature. If a reptile is not provided an appropriate environmental temperature range (ETR), it may be predisposed to chronic infections. Because ETRs vary from species to species, ask your pet professional or review available literature for guidance in determining the appropriate ETR for your pet.

Moreover, they consider it excellent value for money. However, the bulb’s longevity and quality receive mixed reviews, with some reporting it burns out within a month and others describing it as a terrible quality bulb. Additionally, several customers report issues with the bulb completely breaking or shattering.

Good little bulb
Worked great. Good heat and fit my lamp perfectly. Burnt out after a few months but I had the lamp at an angle which can cause blow outs, canât blame the bulb.

Perfect for beardeds
Love these lights! No matter what these bulbs always last the longest of the heat lamp bulbs we have used so we really like these for our bearded dragon enclosures. The 100watt provides the best level of heat for them in their basking spots. They are easy to install but not always easy to removed from the fixture, that just may be a fixture issue though not the bulb.

Doesnât last as long as it should
This bulb works really well and the way it is supposed to while it does work. Quickly blows, usually only lasts me a good 2-3 months before needing another. Itâs easy to install and is the right size for my critters needs but just wish it lasted a bit longer.

High heat
I was pleasantly surprised with the brightness and heat this bulb gives off. It made a remarkable difference in the temperature in my tank. It took it from 92’s to 101’s. My bearded dragon loves to bask under it. I don’t know how long it will last as I just started using it last week. So far I believe it will be a long time. Excellent value for the money.

I must be a reptile too heh
Got this for my elderly cat who gets cold easily in the winter and used to love sunbathing. Set up a metal grill that keeps him from getting too close while providing good airflow to the bulb. He loves it! I noticed my eyestrain went away when using the computer. Probably thanks to the nice warm reddish part of the spectrum offsetting the cold blueish tint of the screen. My UV meter shows this to be producing very little UV-B and less UV-A at 4-5 feet than a normal sunny day (40th latitude) so it seems safer vs. stronger bulbs. One note is please make sure your housing is rated to whatever wattage bulb you buy. A 100w bulb in a 60w housing can be a fire hazard, for example. That should be self evident but hopefully it helps someone avoid a dangerous situation.

Risky but ok thus far
Fluker’s Incandescent Basking Spotlight Bulb is ok. The light feels very cheaply made and the materials are not durable. The metal screw piece looks like it was recently glued and was set crooked and looks funny. The good… the light does heat and work, but for how long. There is a loose piece in the bulb as you can see the video. Hopefully it doesn’t cause an issue lol. Time will tell.

El paquete y su contenido llegaron bien, el foco lleva poco de uso, veremos a largo plazo que tal, por lo pronto todo bien y vale la pena por el costo.Actualización: Duró 4 meses casi exactos.

Fixture and lamp all-in-one. I had everything I needed to house the heating lamp on top of my reptile habitat. Item delivered on-time (actually earlier). Quality of the item is great. Thank you.

What can I say itâs an excellent product..I recommend and itâs way cheaper then the pet store..

Mild heat, slightly hotter than a regular incandescent bulb – perfect for my toad. Please note that this bulb does NOT emit UVB, which bearded dragons and turtles require to be healthy. This would be fine for snakes, frogs, toads, and leopard geckos.
