Good book
Finally found one that I needed was looking for. The only reason i’m giving it 4 stars because was damaged on shipping shouldn’t have been shipped with other items. Would recommend it’s better to know this stuff just in case.

Not very pleased with this purchase
Can’t really speak to the content. I purchased the kindle edition and some of the words/letters are squished together on every page making it very difficult to read. Not very pleased with this purchase. Going to try and get through some of the content anyway.

Great wealth of information
We are planning to travel more with our dog and I wanted to put together a dog first aid kit for emergencies. As a nurse I understand the basics of assessment and prioritizing situations when it comes to human, but when it comes to k-9 anatomy and assesments I am out of my comfort zone. Don’t get me wrong I am not trying to be a vet. I am just trying to obtain vital info on how to assess various situations that could happen to my dog while we are out on the road and this book provides that info for me. Highly recommend this book.

Great illustrations, invaluable knowledge. I have only had to use some of the superficial first aid skills, thankfully, but learning life saving skills for my dog has provided confidence that I will know what to do if something tragic happens.

Perfect size to keep with you! Easy to read.Personally, we did as the book suggested and read it completely once. When we did need it in an emergency situation, we knew exactly where to go in the book before heading off to the Veterinarian.

Good, but one bone of contention……lifting up a small dog by its hind legs if it is chocking….a no no…you should lift under it’s tummy then invert it to clear its airways with a measured thump on it back (according to most vets).
