The cats love it!
This is a great cat itching post! The spikes are nice and stiff to reach all the best spots. My cats loved it right out of the box. It is very sturdy it just needs to be mounted on a heavy object if you want to move it around. Good quality! Very easy to clean.

I love these things, I have eight cats, but one of them absolutely loves when I brush his cheeks and his face so when I came across these I thought they would be great for him specifically and they were! He absolutely loves rubbing up against them. And they stick right on with the little adhesive things and haven’t come off yet.

Kitty liked the groomer but adhesive doesnât hold at all.
My cat took to the self groomer right away. However, I tried to attach it with the enclosed adhesive patches to a post that she regularly rubs against and the adhesive would not hold it at all. I had to use duct tape to hold it on! Because I had to tape it on, I could not use the channels for the catnip because the tape covered those up. The company needs to come up with a better option for attaching it. The small screws wonât work in anything metal and they are so small they likely wouldnât work on wood either.

Caution
The bristles on this product are so sharp it terrified my cat! She will not go near it after her first encounter even with the catnip in the feeder. Whichever room I put it in, she will not enter as soon as she sees it. This product should have a warning regarding children and the elderly as it could cause harm if a person fell on it or unknown picked it up incorrectly. Bad product.

Beware of weak screws! And hard bristles
The sticky pads were not keeping it in place on a wood door trim so I tried the tiny screws. When just tightening, not too tight, one of the screw heads broke off. I had to chisel away some of the wood to be able to grab the post with plyers to unscrew it. Then I had to patch with wood fill and add touch up paint. I am going to use stronger screws and try the product though because my cat liked the brush when I held it up for her. And because I asked for and received a return-less refund to compensate me for the damage and cost of repair materials. I keep coming back because Amazon has such great customer service! I would give 4 stars, but when both attachment methods don’t work/are defective that takes the value way down.Update: After attaching the brush to the door frame where my cat was regularly rubbing her face, she wasn’t interested. I didn’t want to use the non-organic catnip that was included so I sprayed the brush with organic catnip oil. She was interested and rubbed her face against the brush, but I noticed right under her lip there was some irritation from the hard bristles. I may need to take it down and use it as a brush that I can safely control with my hand so she doesn’t get skin irritation. I thought the hard bristles would work well for self grooming, but now I think softer bristles would be safer, depending on how your cat self grooms against the brush.

Better than Expected!!
My cat absolutely loved this, she likes her face pet and head and ears scratched/rubbed and she was all over this thing!!!We noticed our girl rubbing her face on a hairbrush but doesnt like to be brushed so we thought we would try this and she loved it. Its not possible to put it on the carpet stationary but thankfully we found a spot on the basement floor where we can stick it to the floor and kitty never knocked it over, she just rubbed her face and neck all over it for at least 20-30min after we showed it to her. It also picked up a lot of her hair shedding into it and the hair was easy to pull off.

This will not stay on the wall. The adhesive tabs are worthless.
