Customers say

Customers find the faux cactus to be a great addition to terrariums, particularly for leopard geckos and bearded dragons, and appreciate its real-looking appearance and good value for money. The plant features a heavy base that provides stability, with one customer noting their lizard can’t knock it down. While some customers describe it as sturdy, others report issues with the top portion breaking off. The size receives mixed feedback, with some finding it great while others say it’s larger than expected.

Great Deal, and my Beardie Loves it!
I got this decor for my bearded dragon’s tank at a great price. Shipping time was reasonable and it arrived with no damage. It is a little larger than I expected, but still looks great in the tank, and my baby beard likes to sit on it from time to time. I did have to pull off some extra plastic “leaf” bits from manufacturing, but overall seems to be sturdy and made well. Highly recommend!

    Beautiful terrarium decor
This product is beautiful and a great addition to my bearded dragons enclosure. She always tries to perch on it and it falls over because it’s not strong or balanced enough to hold her up. Other than that it’s definitely worth the money

Arrived with a strange odor, thoroughly cleaned, Tarantula loves it more than anything!
When this fake cactus arrived the first thing I noticed was that it had an odd odor on it that smelled like some kind of chemical, which was concerning. I wasn’t comfortable placing it in my Tarantulas tank with the smell, so I thoroughly cleaned it until the smell was gone. After placing it in my Tarantulas tank he immediately began to crawl on it and began to make webs all over it. My spider is a desert specie, and this little cactus made him feel at home. It looks and feels very real, though not to worry, it has fake spikes instead of real sharp ones. I like that the base is heavy, so it won’t tip over when my Tarantula wants to crawl on it. Besides the odor, this product is great! My spider has never been happier.

    Use in artifical Cactus garden.
You would have to touch it to see if it was real or not. We use this and others outside as an ascend in a south Texas Garden setting that we set up when traveling in our moor home. (only set up if we are going to be there for awhile) Draws attention, strange to see a ‘Cactus Garden, just out side a motor home parked in Glacier Park Montana. It does fine but I did have to glue it to a flat disc so it would not blow away in high winds or tip over from a stiff breeze..

    Very happy.
Bruce the turtle loves it. He pushes it around with his nose under water. He seems to love it the best on its side. I tend to be a little OCD about these things, so it annoys the heck out of me when he knocks it over.ANYWAY, since my turtle likes it, I guess its 5 stars…If it had a little suction cup on the bottom, he wouldn’t be able to knock it over, but then it would be only 4 stars, because then he wouldn’t like it as much, right? We’re over thinking this.I have several of these Exo Terra plants, they all seem well put together. Some of the cheaper ones (not exo terra) have weird excess plastic on the edges of the leaves, that’s annoying, you feel like you should trim it a little. The animals won’t care, but its a cosmetic thing. ANYWAY, the Exo Terra have a minimum of the excess plastic, don’t usually need to be trimmed at all. The plants don’t cost much, and Bruce loves them.

    Top breaks off; Smelly
I had the star cactus plant in a large terrarium with my three leopard geckos. I temporarily kept them on a substrate with a musty smell to it. I quickly discontinued use of the substrate, but the plant retained the scent. Since then, the geckos had an aversion to the plant. I had to remove it from the terrarium. The very top bit of the plant also broke off (no particular reason as to why) about a month after having it.Likes:Looks niceOK quality for priceDislikes:Retains scents from environmentThe top breaks offBottom line:This is a decent plant for the price, but it is pretty low quality. If you aren’t worried about your animals defecating in it or something smelly around it making it stink, then it isn’t too bad. I personally will go with a different decoration in the future.

    Third one
This is my third one. Just the right size for medium size pot. I live in the desert so the full sun eats them up after three years.
