The Exo Terra Repti Glo 2.0 Compact Full Spectrum Terrarium Lamp is a general light source with a high visual light output and a very high colour rendering index (CRI), but a lower UVB radiation. This bulb is suitable for snakes, all amphibians (frogs, toads and salamanders) and nocturnal animals. Plants will thrive under this light as well. It is also a perfect complementary light to a UVB bulb to boost visual light. Fluorescent bulbs lose their UV radiation and approximately 50% of their lighting output quality within one year. Ideal for all reptiles and amphibian, the Exo Terra Repti Glo 2.0 Compact Full Spectrum Terrarium Lamp provides high visual light output, stimulates plant growth, and stimulates appetite, activity and reproductive behaviour through UVA radiation. Recommended in combination with Repti Glo 5.0 Compact Tropical Terrarium Lamp or Repti Glo 10.0 Compact Desert Terrarium Lamp depending on reptile’s requirements.
Bulb Output: The Exo Terra Natural Light is a full spectrum daylight bulb with a very high visual light output and high color rendering index (98 CRI).
Color Temperature: With its high visual light output and 6700K color temperature, the Natural Light Terrarium Bulb is recommended as a general light source for all terrarium types.
Ideal For: The high light output makes this bulb suitable for planted terrariums and it is ideal for animals with lower UV requirements, such as snakes, amphibians (frogs, toads and salamanders) and nocturnal animals.
Pairs With: Combine this full spectrum daylight bulb with Exo Terra’s Reptile UVB100, Reptile UVB150 or Reptile UVB200 (sold separately), depending on the reptile’s UV requirements, to intensify natural sunlight conditions.
Customers say
Customers find the light bulb works well in regular fixtures and lasts up to 1.5 years with daily use, while providing natural light that’s not too overpowering. Moreover, the bulb helps plants grow nicely and keeps them happy. However, the longevity, heat output, UVB output, and value for money receive mixed reviews, with some customers reporting it doesn’t last long, produces minimal heat, has low UVB output, and is overpriced.

Reliable
Works great in my exo-terra terrarium hood. The light is white and bright which enhances the true colors of my plants and frogs. It produces minimal heat–raising the temperature of my tank less than 2 degrees throughout the daylight cycle. I also like that it provides a small amount of UV. Great product!

Great Light For BioActive Terrariums
I currently use this light in a 40 gallon bioactive terrarium and it works great. It seems to be supporting the plants, provides plenty of white light, and produces a low amount of heat. So far, no issues at all!

Great Light! Lasts a Long Time
Great light! Not a whole lot to say. It fits my unit just fine and it lasts a long time. Nice and bright and does give the daylight look instead of that harsh, stagnant white fluorescent look some bulbs give. Gives off just a little heat but is NOT a heat bulb. This is what I needed but please make sure you’re buying this bulb for just light and not heat.

Sturdy, but doesn’t seem as bright as other 13 watt full-spectrum CFLs I have used
Very sturdy bulb survived being packed in a bubble-envelope and having both ends of the box crushed. Imagine packing a light bulb this way so that 50 pound boxes can get thrown on top of it in transit! I previously used a Phillips 13 watt full-spectrum CFL that is no longer available. This 13 watt is about 25% dimmer and costs a lot more. I don’t know the lumens of the old bulb so I can’t make a direct comparison. I was afraid that the 20 watt version would be too bright, but I think I am going to try it.

Iâm using this bulb for a 8x8x12 terrarium. Looks great!
The picture speaks for itselfâ¦. Soft white lighting looks so good in this small enclosure. The biggest benefit of this bulb is how cool is stays! I needed to have a very cool bulb for this small terrarium and this was a perfect solution.

Ok brightness
Its not super bright, it does the job enough to see but I dont think its enough to help out the plants in my terrarium. I regret buying it overall there are better options out there but 3 stars since it works but didnt meet my expectations

Works well!
For anyone wondering, a comparison shot of the Exo Terra Repti-Glo 2.0 Compact Fluorescent Full Spectrum Terrarium Lamp, 13-Watt Vs. Zoo Med ReptiSun 5.0 Mini Compact Fluorescent Lamp, 13 Watt. They both serve me well.
