Customers say
Customers find the plant dripper aesthetically pleasing and appreciate its appearance. However, the functionality and quality receive mixed reviews – while some say it works well for chameleons, others report it’s extremely hard to keep working properly and has poor quality control. Moreover, the water flow and pump strength are significant issues, with customers noting that water cannot reach the top tube and the pump is really weak. Additionally, customers report durability problems, with the product breaking after 2 days or not lasting more than 2 months, and concerns about leakage and value for money.

Such a P R O C E S S, but worth it!
*EDIT*I was able to switch back to the original hose this came with and it works so much better with the control valve! Would like to emphasize to let the pump run without the hose first when first turning it on! 10/10 would recommend._______________________________________I was very hesitant to buy this given some reviews stating that they did not always get a water flow. However, I took my chances and bought a large dripper. What should have been a quick 10-minute setup turned into an hour-long trial and error.First off, we very quickly found out that the pump is indeed on the weaker side and would not pump water from the provided hose attachment. We initially removed part of the hose from the drip gauge to see if it would help water flow a little more smoothly, which did work but the hose was too short to set the plant down outside of the bowl we were using. What we ended up doing was using a longer hose, which I just happened to have in hand as I had initially used a different dripping system, and given that there was no dripping valve attached the water seemed to flow a little better.Once we got the water flowing and tried setting it up inside our actual chameleon habitat, the pump stopped working. It did take us a few tries to get it going again, and what we found out from this experience is that unattaching the hose from the actual pump and letting the water flow first gives it that extra “umph” to let the water flow a lot more smoothly through the hose once it’s reattached (with the water still running). The only drawback of not having the dripping valve is that the water is constantly running which isn’t a huge problem in itself but the leaves are positioned in an odd way where the water scatters everywhere and very rarely actually falls in a straight line. What I ended up having to do is sew a couple of stitches to attach the very top leaf to the one beneath it to create a sort of crease that would help the water flow a little more straight. So, because I got a large and there are three leaves, I had to also sew the second or the middle leaf to the stem to keep it aligned with the very top leaf, so in total I had to put in three stitches.I did provide a video for you guys to see the end result, as well as pictures of the stitches I had to place. I hope this helps anyone who is on the fence on buying this because, honestly, it was a good purchase but definitely a process to get set up and a lot of rigging.

Overall a waste of time and money
The concept is great, and in the moments it works it does exactly what it’s supposed to, but those moments are few and far between. Right out the box it’s obvious the pump is too weak. The effort it takes to prime the pump and the plant is ridiculous, one little air bubble and you’re done, the pump doesn’t have enough power to push it out of the way. I held my plant upside down for a while below the pump to try and get it moving, even then I had to slowly stand the plant up or the pump would wimp out and stop the flow of water. Plan to do this every time you want to clean it. I built a container to filter and recirculate the water, but sometimes my chameleon likes to knock the plant over and empty all his water so when he does the pump goes dry and I get to play the prime the pump game again. I would still forgive all of that, but after about 7 months of use it’s now dead, won’t run at all. Seems like a lot of headache and frankly a bit steep of a price tag for a little pump that can’t even make it a year.

Takes a little patience to get going
Was a little finicky to get going but now it works great and our chameleon loves it. Water didnât pump up at first. After I blew into the hose and valve to make sure itâs clear it works great.

Updated: It Did Start Working
*Update: the fountain did start working. I left it plugged in sitting in the water source and after several hours it started to drip extremely slowly then finally picked up speed.I am updating also to say this was purchased so we could take a weekend vacation leaving the chameleon with water. For that purpose it worked and does keep the habitat at about 50% moisture. As soon as I was notified my original post went live I came to update it. I want to be fair to the company.Original frustration post: âThe product didnât last 2 months. It started out fine then went to a dribble then stopped completely today. Useless. I am furious that this cost as much as it did and now no longer works.â

works but needs better valve
Overall product is a good size and the line works. However the valve kept giving me issues so i replaced it with a valve from my fish tank that has a adjust knob. Now it does run at a slow trickle verse droplets but it works for my needs.

I wish I had listened. Good concept. Doesn’t work
I had some problems getting started but read reviews from here where people had advice. It’s now been 3 months and it won’t work. At all. With no matter what things I try. It’s beautiful and a great idea. But skip it for something more reliable. Your animal relies on you!

THIS PRODUCT IS TERRIBLE!!! SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE TO MAKE IT WORK!!!
This is the most horrible system I have ever seen!!! You charge so much money for such a horrible product!!! It works without problems outside the terrarium, but as soon as I put it in the terrarium, it stops working!!!! You are mocking people𤬠Why are you selling this horror for so much moneyð±In order for this misunderstanding to work, I need to come up with something to raise it higherð¤ We had to replace the engine with another one.ð¥º

Habe diese Tropfpflanze im Fressnapf entdeckt, leider war diese aber ausverkauft und online auch vergriffen. Also google gefragt….da wurde mir u.a.

Arrived before due date (nice surprise) set up was very easy I would not go for the recommended dish as the three little suckers on the pump wonât stick down to th bottom looks nice in the vivarium and has been used not only for drinking but found our little chameleon sleeping on it
