Safe and durable
Lights work really well. My semi aquatic turtle loves it. It doesn’t get too overly hot on the outside fixture either. So it’s safer than buying a cheap light fixture with bulbs included from China, cause those things get way too hot. They break within a few months. I recommend these because the are safer and durable.

Focused basking bulbs
This set of 2 100 watt basking spot bulbs seem of good quality and work just fine. They put out more focused heat in one spot because of their design, so they are good for desert lizards, aquatic turtles and tortoises. If you want more broad heat distribution, raise these a bit higher above the basking area, or look for flood style bulbs instead.The price of these is great at around $5 per bulb. If they last a long time being used 6-8 hours per day, or through most of the winter this upcoming winter when I bring my turtles indoors, then these will be a great buy. Time will tell how long they last. Be sure to use these kinds of heat bulbs in ceramic socket fixtures for safety.

Good focused heat
This 100 watt produces light and heat focused downward but not into a spot. To me it s more of a flood restricted by the shielding on the bulb which directs all output down. It is an effective heat light for my bearded dragon. They are competitively priced.
