Simple but effective.
I love this pad. I’m glad it doesn’t have the fur ruff as many others have. It’s simple yet well made and it helps my dressage saddle sit perfectly on my horse’s back. It works best for me without any shims at all. He seems happier with it and doesn’t stumble during shoulder in anymore.

Great half pad! Dense quality cotton with quality stitching that I expect will hold up well. Three shims per pocket (Four pockets total; two shoulder and two seat/back) that are thin but effective in helping make temporary saddle fit adjustments. What a world of difference to have a balanced saddle again! Horse feels better, and my position problems were fixed instantly. Highly recommend this product. Looks good under dressage saddle and fits under my 17.5″ seat Trilogy saddle very well. I like the all-cotton option; never could figure out why I spent so much more money on a sheepskin pad when the sheepskin sits on top of the saddle pad anyway. Also, I prefer the lower profile look of a non-rolled half pad. If you have young horses, or horses that are just back to work after lay-ups, this is a wonderful tool to use while your horses build back muscle and change their shapes.

Great affordable half pad
This half pad is great, and very affordable. But, there is nothing “memory foam” about the inserts. They serve their purpose and I’m able to remove some of the back pads to add to the front. It’s perfect for my high and narrow withered horse.

Beats expectations! By a lot
Great shimmable saddle pad on a budget without compromising comfort. I was a skeptic wondering how it would compare to a $100+ shimmable pad however this pad definitely does the job. Comes with more than enough shims to adjust most saddle fit issues as long as the saddle is too wide and not too narrow. Fits my 16â saddle nicely. Billet strap seems appropriately placed to keep saddle pad in appropriate position. Shins are firm enough to adjust the saddle without being too hard. Canât speak to durability as Iâve only had it a few weeks, but Iâd imagine you probably would need to replace the shims after about a year. Given the cost of the saddle pad, thatâs quite reasonable.

Not my favorite, but itâs OK for now
I took out all the shims on this saddle pad. The quality of the material seems sturdy, but Iâm not sure I like how stiff it is, especially the line in the center. I was worried how the line down the middle would affect my horseâs spine, as Iâve recently heard this can be an issue with pads like these (but I am by no means an expert on this subject).

Good alternative to expensive top loading treeless pads.
I saw this pad and bought it to try as an alternative to some of my expensive pads for my treeless saddles. This pad has a similar design to other top loading pads designed to give additional spine clearance and comes with 4 foam shims for each of the 2 front pockets and 2 back pockets. This gives you a lot of flexibility in where and how much to shim. I tried this pad with 2 different treeless saddles on a hard to fit horse with different shimming options for each and I’m very happy with the results. I was able to get a good fit and sweat pattern with each one. If you don’t want to spend $200 for some of the expensive pads give this one a try, you will probably be very happy with it.

This parcel was never received, but we have a new delivery company so it happensBut a friend has this one and it came with a bunch of shims, though the shims are a poor quality plastic foam like the material that those packing peanuts are made of but you could use the included shims to cut your own foam pads or felt.Nice and slim without the shims so great as a riser

The quality is great, however, it takes forever to dry and retains the smell badly, however, I think they do not air the pad out. But while the material is luxurious, the memory foam pads, crush after less than a month and that is not with daily riding. We need the adjustable pads to lift the saddle from the withers and as this crushed down quickly it removes the value or usefulness of the pad. If the pads were a better quality or different type of pad/foam, I would give this a 4.5

Great quality fabric that lasts forever! This is my second Equine Comfort Products half pad. The foam inserts are okay, but don’t offer much support. I ended up purchasing foam and cut to fit this half pad. Still much cheaper than buying any other correction pad.

This pad is excellent. Not just excellent for the money, but excellent period. I thought Iâd try this cheap one before buying Acavello or Thinline. Itâs working perfectly, and the look is subtle if youâre in the hunter jumper word.
