A little dusty but good!
My hammy loves it! There’s a good amount too. Just a heads up that its a little dusty (idk if that’s the right word) when you pull it apart, a lot of debris stirs up.

Great moss to add some color and texture to my hamsterâs cage! Highly recommend! I freeze it for a week before putting it in the cage (I do that with anything from the outdoors: sprays, apple sticks, their hamster food mix with 40+ seeds/grains in it, etc, to make sure to kill any bugs or eggs that might be in it)

Donât let the bad reviews scare you off
When I first ordered this product I was scared after reading the reviews but when it came I realized that everyone weighting those reviews have probably never touched real moss. Itâs not plasticy at all and is very natural. Only reason itâs not a five star is because of the overwhelming dirt smell but even that dose go away after acouple of hours

Great value, terribly dusty for hamsters
I’m gonna start with saying for the price this is probably the best value substrate moss on amazon, however, there is an incredible amount of dust, which can be bad for your hamsters health. When I was breaking up the brick it filled my whole 40 gallon terrarium with a visible dust, that hung in the air and I had to wait an hour before returning my hamsters to the cage. Haven’t noticed any yet, but with how dirty the moss is, I wouldn’t be too surprised if there’s also mites or bugs in the mix as well. I would recommend freezing or baking the moss before adding it to your cage either way, but there’s not much you can do about the dust. Overall great value but if you’re gonna label it as being for hamsters, it needs to be significantly cleaner!

Comes packed tightly. Smells fresh. Super green. Hamster hated it for some reason so I had to return it. I do recommend it for any of your mossy needs though. Price was super cheap.
