Waited way to long to pick on of these up
I have a little dog that loves to eat the cat food in the closet. We looked into pet doors and he could squeeze through the smallest one we could find. This is incredible since it leaves the perfect crack for the cat to get into her apartment and keep the dog out. He looks awfully defeated when he can see in there but can’t get in. Love this! It was very easy to install and the door functions perfectly still.

Great product
I was looking for something like this so I wouldn’t have to cut a hole in the door for a cat door. It works great! I did have to replace my doorknob as the one on there was an older style and would not catch. It can be a bit tricky to get the door open if you have to shut it fully, but that isn’t a real issue. Easy to install, solid construction, great for renters.

Not perfect but pretty close! Toddler, dog, and cat friendly!
Functional, easy to install, and the perfect size. The only caveat is the fragility of the product! This is a one- of-a-kind item that is perfect for giving my cat, Harvey, some welcome alone time from my dog and my toddler. The only tough part is this is the perfect hip-height and one bump into this door jam will leave a crack in the plastic. Two and you have two halves of a door jam.I plan to continue to purchase these as I need them (as I break them), but now Iâm on pace to buy four in 2025 and I wish they were a little more sturdy. Overall a cool product!

Saved us from having to install a gate!
We had a problem: our Catahoula Leopard dog had developed a taste for cat food. An uncontrollable lust if you will. We keep our cat’s food in a bathroom and let them graze so the food is down all day. We didn’t want to put a gate up as our elderly Maine Coon couldn’t jump over it or fit through a cat door in a gate and we were losing our minds. This fixed everything so neatly. It installed easily and absolutely kept the dog out of the bathroom. Even the Maine Coon can fit through the gap that’s left when the door is propped open with the Door Buddy. The biggest problem has been training the humans to remember to keep the door “closed”! Highly recommend.

Ingenious device! Great alternative to a pet door.
The person who invented this is a genius!We purchased the item for our vacation home. The room with the litter boxes is near the front door. We wanted to limit the space through which odors and litter dust could escape the room. This device works perfectly! It installed in about two minutes with no alterations to the door or jam. It leaves the door easy to close or open. It is a wonderful alternative to cutting into the door for a cat door. I highly recommend it!

Won’t scratch door, but screw plate breaks easily.
Things that I like: it’s holds really well, so far it doesn’t seem to scratch my door, easy install, adjustability to change how open my door is kept (though the little screws slip after repeated closing from the kids so we usually leave it at the lowest setting.Things I don’t like: made of plastic/breaks easily (I’m on my third one of these and each one broke at the same point, the screw point. I wish the area there the striker plate is was made of metal.)

Perfect Door Prop
I purchased this because the litter box is in the laundry room and I wanted the cat to be able to get in and out, but not the dog. All of the other door props like this were ones that you would have to use two hands for or needed to take off to open the door and then reinstall when you were closing it. This is essentially just giving you an extension of your door frame. Very easy installation. I’ve had it installed for 3 months and have not had any issues with it – the door closes and opens perfectly, and you can change how wide the opening is depending on the size of the cat (or dog). Definitely worth the money.

So these worked so well it is amazing. We have three dogs we need to keep out of areas but that we want our cat it. The three big brutes cant open the doors, but it is easy for humans to use. No it will not be exact as the normal door. If you are a door slammer then it might make some noise. But we love them. Easy to install for the average bear. And i used the foam provided to make the silent. Only issue is that if you close the door fully not quick to open. Takes two hands. But we installed on doors where we only use the door stop function and LOVE THEM!

I do dog boarding in my house and this product works great for keeping the dogs out of the lower part of my house where the cat litter is. I also use it on my bedroom door with the dogs that like to sleep in our bedroom so that the cat can come and go but the dogs canât get out and wander the house in the night and get into things. I currently own 1 but will be buying a second so I donât have to keep moving it around. Easy to install, easy to use and no damage to the door or door frame.

Install is literally two screws; remove the door strike plate, install this in its place, and put the two screws back in.Also still allows you to fully open or fully close the door as well. I bought this because my cat has a habit of closing doors behind himself and getting stuck in rooms while Iâm away. I didnât want to keep the doors completely shut (the rooms get too hot), so this seemed like a good solution.
