Amazing for self groomers!
This may be the most important purchase I have made in a long time. My dog, Buster, absolutely HATES going to the groomer. I went out and purchased a special dog buzzer, clippers, nail clipper and nail grinder, toothbrush, etc. But even when I try to cut his hair he makes it very difficult for me by constantly sitting or laying down making some places impossible to cut/trim. Finally, I decided to try out a professional grooming table/harness.This arm/harness combo is very easy to set up, appears comfortable for Buster, definitely makes it easier to shave and cut his hair in the hard to reach places and most importantly he is much happier getting groomed at home and not having to go to the groomersâ any more!

Not ready for prime time, or any other time really…
We got this to augment some of the equipment that we already had and was looking forward to trying it out. My only problem being a Vine contributor is that we can’t return any item, even though we pay tax on the retail price of the item. I must say that at the advertised price this item is NOT worth it!!! At the near fifty bucks it comes to approximately 20% of the cost of a NEW table that will come WITH this same setup. So there was definitely ZERO value add for us. When delivered we did not receive that nice “cradle”/hammock that is depicted in the listing — they referred to it as “upgraded” but their own video shows it as “included”. We were not given an option for any upgraded version, so when we got it, it was like receiving an IRK (instant regret kit) — the included nail clippers were toast after a set of nails on a very small dog. Again, low quality, not nearly as stated in their item description.  I would not recommend trusting the strength of this device for a fidgety 5 lb. dog, or a 7-10 lbs. dog that will sit still.Bottom line: Use the $50 to go toward a higher quality set of tools as this is not really a good system to have for at-home use, let alone a groomer’s tool set.

Good for calm dog
This grooming arm clamps securely on my counter. The metal is lightweight yet a strong metal. It is a good quality arm.You will need to have an overhang. It will not clamp to a counter over cupboards because the counter lip wonât be deep enough in standard kitchens.The hammock secured both my 16lb and 20lb pups so that they could be lifted up or stand still while getting their hair/fur cut and nails trimmed.I didnât use the leads with my dogs but the clip on them are strong and easy to open and close to connect to the arm.Couple of cons to note – The arm doesnât fold nicely for storage. I do think it would be helpful to have a storage bag for all these different components that come.Also, I have a very anxious dog that cannot be groomed without anxiety meds. He thrashed in the soft hammock and I feared he would hurt himself. I thought the hammock could act a bit like a compression jacket and calm him. It did not. Not the products fault. I just wanted to let other anxious dog owners know that if there is grooming anxiety it didnât solve any of our anxious behavior.(The loss of a star has to do with the awkward storage aspect).Grooming is expensive. If this allows you to do it at home then this purchase has great value!

Ok for small, calm dogs
Go this for my 4 dogs because all but one will run away when I am trying to dry them and half won’t sit still to get their nails trimmed. It works ok but is not the sturdiest thing ever. It just barely adjust high enough for my 16lb Shorkie and even then if he was trying to get away I don’t doubt he would knock it down and get hurt. Luckily he is used to going to the groomers and so he sits nicely for me and I can get him to stand up without much of a battle. It works good for my chihuahuas that are only 5lbs and 10 lbs. The most nervous dog I have is luckily the smallest and so at 5lbs and being tiny it works well for her but I would still never trust it enough to walk away from the table with her in it. My husband attached a wood extension to my small block table to attach the arm too since my table was too wide to fit it on. I covered everything with foam to make it more comfy, water resistant and slip free for my dogs. I have not tried my corgi with it because she is our biggest dog and still a puppy so I probably won’t trust it for her until she is a little more calm and used to the dryer.Overall it will come it handy and I no longer have to sit on the bathroom floor chasing my dogs with the dryer but I wish it was a bit more sturdy and adjusted a bit higher. Probably getting a grooming table with an attached arm would be better if you have the space for such a thing. Avoid it if you have medium to large dogs for sure, but it works ok for small dog. Also I would avoid it if your dogs would attempt to escape unless they are tiny like my 5lb chihuahua.
