Tried to calibrate due to a large variance between this salt meter and another. The same cup of water read inconsistently. One time it was 2100 and then 3900.

great for salt levels in pool
This is exactly what I needed to make sure the salt level is correct. I used the test strips before, but many times it was difficult to tell on the strip exactly what the level was; with this device I can determine the level easily.

Convenient pool salt measurement
I was skeptical of the accuracy of this because I have another handheld salinity tester that cost much more, but it actually seems to provide an accurate reading. Usage is as simple as it gets: just set it in the pool and check the readings from the small screen.I’m not sure if this will remain in good working order if left in the pool 24/7, so I will probably just put it in on the day that I need salt readings.

This is a great product to get pool temperature and salinity at a glance. It worked right when I put it in the pool. I used an independent salt tester and the reading was spot on. It’s important to keep track of your salinity level to make sure your equipment is working properly. It also comes with pH testing strips, a microfiber cloth and clear instructions.
