Brush Removed Hair That I Never Knew my Dog Had
The Cons:* There was nothing included with the brush that explains how to use it. People that have not used a brush like this may not be aware of how much pressure to apply when using it on their pet & I believe its important for every product to come with basic guidelines. It won’t irreparably harm the animal if too much force is applied, but it may create a negative association with grooming if the experience is uncomfortable.* The box also includes a random screw, with the brush, and no explanation of its purpose. Its pretty obvious where it fits on the brush, but I had no idea why it was there. Initially, I thought that the loose hair removed maybe ended up inside the brush & could be emptied. That would’ve been an amazing feature, but that was not the case. I searched other listings for similar brushes with the screw thingy, and found that the metal comb is removable, and the screw is there to secure it in place. Mystery solved.The Pros:* I have a Cane Corso with a relatively coarse coat. I have a different brush that I normally use for him. It was originally made for horses and is shaped similar to this one, also using metal teeth. That brush is fantastic and removes his long coarse hair. I expected the same from this brush, but much to my dismay, when I used it on him, it removed light fluffy hair. Something that I have never seen come off of him, and didn’t even realize he had. That moves this brush up in status from a spare, to an essential tool. Only drawback is it does not remove his long, coarse hair. So, I need both brushes to do a complete job.* Its very easy to use, and running it lightly along your dogs coat is enough to get the job done. There’s no pressure or force required. It seems to remove a decent amount of hair quickly, which means your animal only needs to be patient in short intervals for you to make progress.
