Finally found the hay bag that I needed.
I have a mare that eats her alfalfa too fast which causes her to choke. I couldn’t get her to eat out of my other hay bags with smaller holes and she would chew through hay nets. This hay bag has just the right size holes for her to eat without choking. I really like the ring on the bottom that allows me to secure the bag to a post to keep it from swinging. And I like the nice thick rope that ties the bag shut. Another problem that I had with other hay bags is that my mare would mess around with them until she got them open. She can’t do that with this bag. The bag is well made and sturdy and should stand up to wear and tear. It is slightly harder to fill than my other hay bags. It’s like filling a hay net. Since I only use it for this particular horse it’s a minor inconvenience that is outweighed by the benefit of preventing my horse from choking. I’m glad I finally found this hay bag.

Great if only feeding hay
Seems to be holding up so far I thought the holes were smaller. My horses just move it around shake it till it all falls in the ground they are done eating a flake and a half within an hr. . I feed pellets and Teff hay so I put another slow feed net inside then put this one around it! Holds up well sturdy rope that comes with it and the rings seem like they will last.. only issue is with hold size. If you make a smaller hole size Iâll purchase that one too.

Nice hay bag
My horse is a very messy eater. This hay bag has caused her to slow down and also prevents her from strewing her hay all over her stall. The bag is made from heavy duty nylon webbing and is very substantial. It is easy to hang too.

Well built but awkward
A flake of hay from a 50 pound bale will not fit easily through the opening. You have to break up the flakes to stuff the bag. On the plus side, this thing is strong and durable. If they would make this with a 4 in wider opening, it would be 5 stars.

Great heavy duty hay bag, so happy with my purchase. My horse has chewed his way through several hay bags, but not this one! Going to order another one in black, but I do love the green! Definitely worth every pennyâ¦
