I wanted a new bird station, and with some help this may last a few years. I live in the NW. We get rain and wind. Pole is sheltered by bank, two fences and a ceder tree, and a bay tree/shrub.cons—-feet are too short. I dug about a 10 inch hole, hammered the feet in clay soil ,covered with soil and rock.pole is too short. needs one more section.I hammered a section of rebar next to the pole and duct tapped it to the pole. rebar ends just under the bolt for the baffle.squirrel baffle ( bought separately ) must go above 4 feet. this one is 4 feet 3 inches above the ground.so no room for all the attachments. I wish i had kept one more hanger off.the umbrella is stabilizing the top—- held on with duct tape. the handle just comes to the baffle.the stand , even supported cannot hold any heavy feeders. I have one small squirrel proof feeder in the back.the feeders that come with it are small, and lightweight.I bought the white finch sack.total weight of all the feeders and seed and suet is about 5-6 lbs.Pros—-nice beginner set, easy to assemble. I did it at 5 pm before a storm came in, but I had the hole, rebar, ready and the cat fence, and netting in place.Light early winter storm this last night—- pole is still up, seed is all dry.( I have used umbrellas on crooks before to protect seed.)yes it was a good buy— I used to have tons of birds, and a large stable feeding station and a, trying to bring them back despite the housing developments. I hope this lasts 2 years, that will give me time to ponder a stronger station— if the birds rebound.fyi I have two bird fountains and hmmmm 5 cats…. keeping the tigers at bay is the hard part.two weeks later– big storm came through, pole and umbrella are up.bird count — oregon junco flock, small flock chickadees, few purple finches, two scrub jays, nuthatches, flicker and woodepecker passed through, grosbeakthe tray feeder is the popular spot. I may replace all the feeders with a large tray feeder.squirrel has not made it up the pole, one cat inside netting.three big storms, pole and feeders up. replaced hanging feeder with a tray feeder. bird count up.squirrels and cats staying out of fencing and bird netting so far. occ bird caught in netting, but gets free.1 year later. still up despite heavy storms, snow and wind. umbrella finally bent.replaced the hanging feeders with tray feeders, covered with metal plant baskets to keep the dove out.working great.bird counts up. oct and the feeders are getting checked out. umbrella is a must>

Anti squirrels!
i really like this bird feeding station! It was quick to set up, feels sturdy, and the multiple hooks make it easy to mix seed, suet, and a little water dish. The suet cage and extra planter hanger are nice touches, and the squirrel baffle seems thus far to be working,i got alot of squirrels…. it took a couple of days and birds started regularly coming now. It looks neat and tidy in the yard. For the price, itâs a great value and a simple way to bring more birds in.

I am very impressed by the quality of this bird feeder it is well made and was easy to assemble and have different stations of feeding. i really like how they are adjustable .i just got mine 2 days ago I am going to put some plants and bird food on it .this is my first bird food stations I am hoping some visitors soon

Less than sturdy feeder pole
1″ pole screws together in multiple places to reach 6′ height. Finish on poles and hooks is heavy duty powder coat. Now for the bad: 1. The main pole is 1″ in diameter, too small to offer any type of real ridgidity. The pole bends under the weight of the feeders. 2. The hooks don’t extend far from the center pole which limits the size of the feeder you can use. 3. It comes with multiple hooks, almost too many. If you use any long, tube-type feeders some of the hooks will be very close to the ground. 4. The pole leans easily when exposed to even moderate wind. The only thing keeping it from falling over are the multiple support feet surrounding the main pole. However, the extra feet are close to the main pole and don’t offer real support, hence the leaning in the wind.

Love this. So do the birds, squirrels and raccoons!! I stopped trying to use the cone to keep fury friends off. They just used it to climb up or perch. Raccoons are heavy enough to bend the arms. Took the cone off so they do t climb up anymore. Iâm all for equal opportunity. Currently hanging beautiful ferns from the top and feeding birds.
