Hasn’t had any symptoms for 7 months now. Really good preventative!
On New Year’s Day, my family had the scare of our lives because my male cat almost died due to a mucus plug. Previously, he’s had at least one UTI or urinary crystals/stones situation a year since he came to us as a kitten. If you have male cats, it should be known more how easily this occurs. At some point, you become better at noticing the signs, but the last occurrence really almost took him from us. The funny thing was he was already on a prescription diet, and we were told from our vet that mucus plugs can be random, especially since we were already doing everything we could to prevent further UTIs/crystals/stones.After coming home, I looked further into anything that could help, and found out about D-Mannose. This product truly has been a lifesaver. I started him on it by pouring a full scoop 3 times a day with every meal, and he has had zero opposition to it. There was a point after the first couple of weeks that I lowered the dosage to 1 scoop a day, but he only started showing symptoms again, which was resolved after bringing the dosage back up to 3 scoops a day. It has officially been 7 months now, and he has had no further symptoms and continues to be a happy boy. This vitamin truly is a lifesaver for him and a very good preventive product if your cats often suffer the same issues. It mixes very well with his wet food and can mix well with dry if that is what you have (Kinda toss around with the dry food until coated like a seasoning.) I cannot recommend this product enough and look forward to more happy and healthy days with my boy.Â

Truly Heals and Prevents Future Infections
I canât say enough good things about this supplement. My cat used to have constant bladder infections, and it felt like we were always at the vet. Once I started giving him this daily, the infections completely stopped. He went four years without a single issue. Unfortunately, I let it run out and within a few months he developed another infection. I reordered right away and within a day and a half he was already improving.My cat has no issues taking it, which tells me it must be tasty. Since itâs a powder, itâs simple to mix right into his pate. Iâll never be without it again. It has saved me a fortune in vet bills. If your cat or dog has urinary troubles, this is absolutely a must have to keep on hand.

May need to up dosage for infection prone cats
My cat actually likes the taste of this and PREFERS to have it in her food. I noticed this when she was getting her daily scoop in her breakfast food and she would lick the bowl clean, but her evening wet food would only be half-eaten. My cat is a senior lady and I started her on this a couple of years ago, at 1 scoop per day. A couple of months ago, she still got another infection unfortunately. So I upped it to 2 scoops per day, which she is happy about since both morning and evening wet food now has her favorite flavor supplement. 🙂 No problems since upping the dose. It’s a harmless supplement so I have no qualms about giving her a little more than the recommended dose for her weight. I would recommend that at any dosage, you space it out so that they are getting some throughout the day, instead of all at once in one meal – I believe it is more effective that way, keeping some in their system at all times.

I have four cats, all over 13 years old.Two of my cats were suffering badly with UTI, crying all day and night, plus walking back and forth to the litter box. So stressful for them and for me. These are my fur babies, and I had to do something, especially when I saw blood in the urine.I decided to make a vet appointment, but my vet was closed.After suffering from UTIs myself and using D-mannose, I thought I would see if they had it for cats and here it is.By the time I brought my cat to the vet, she had no symptoms other than mildly elevated kidney levels, which Iâm hoping is from the UTI and will clear up.For those of you who have had UTIs, youâre probably familiar with D-mannose, one of the best supplements for UTIs.The little container came with the tiniest little scoop and I put one scoop into about a half an inch of lactose free milk and my cats drank every bit. To change things up a little in the morning, I would give them the milk with the supplement and in the evening I would give them pure unsalted chicken broth and mix the D-mannose in it. But make sure itâs pure, no onion, spices or anythingâ¦just pure chicken or bone broth.I am so happy because between the milk and the broth they were getting the proper amount of supplement morning and evening. Of course, when my vet came back, I still had my one cat checked out by my vet. The vet did administer an antibiotic to make sure, but there were no signs of UTI. So for me and my fur babies, this was a lifesaver. Thank you!

My cat was diagnosed with urine crystals and heard this was good. For some reason, none of my cats like this and would not eat their food when I added it to it. I know D-mannose is definitely good not only for cats but humans also, but this one is definitely not for my cats. Was hoping it would have been better tasting.

My cats love this and will try to eat it out of the jar.I got this because I have 9 cats – one is a male that has a history of a bladder blockage, one has a heart condition that causes fluid build up internally, and three get feline idiopathic cystitis whenever they’re stressed (usually by each other) and end up with blood in their urine. (The remaining 4 cats don’t have any known bladder or fluid issues, but I doubt this would do them any harm and probably helps their kidneys function better.) Demannose was recommended by the vet to deal with all the urinary issues, and this powder is an easy way to give it to them by simply mixing it into their food. (We can even coat their Uretic kibble with it as well as mix it into wet food.)This powder helps with all these issues. The easiest to monitor is the blood in the urine. Whenever I notice they have blood in their urine, I start giving them this. Within 2-3 days, the cats are noticably less distressed, and they generally stop spraying/inappropriately peeing and there’s no longer blood in their urine. So, I think this is a great option for chronic issues that don’t require antibiotics.
