This Plant Respects My Commitment Issues!
Our family has the horticultural equivalent of the black plague when it comes to house plants. We’ve killed cactuses and we’ve drowned succulents. It’s gotten so bad, our last houseplant died of loneliness. When this Ponytail Palm arrived, it was in amazing condition right out of the box (and packaged VERY well) but we gave it a two-week lifespan because of our past history. Boy, was I wrong…So far, this has been the single best, lowest-maintenance houseplant we’ve ever had. It is essentially a reverse camel, storing all the water it needs in the ridiculously bulbous, glorious trunk. This means we water him less often than Chuck Norris loses a fight (which is never). We love how it sits on display looking permanently surprised with its spiky green hair giving it the overall vibe of a sophisticated Muppet crossed with Dr. Seuss DNA.If you suffer from chronic plant neglect but still crave a splash of vibrant, non-judgmental greenery, stop reading this review and buy this ponytail palm immediately. It’s not just a plant; it’s a high-style, low-effort trophy!

Bonsai Tree – Smaller Than Expected but Healthy, Healthy, Healthy!
This Bonsai tree arrived very well packed, and the soil was moist. Once shipped, it went UPS 2-day which was reassuring. I was waffling between three and four stars for the below reasons.I needed a very specific variety of Bonsai (Ficus Ginseng) for a gift and couldn’t find a healthy one in any of my local nurseries or stores. I didn’t realize until after ordering that it was the grower’s choice on which variety I would be receiving, and the purchase was non-returnable. I reached out to Amazon customer service who were amazing and provided me the farm’s customer service number. The farm was too busy to take my call, and I was forced to leave a message. The frustrating part was they finally called me back at 5:50 AM on the day the tree was being delivered! (Grrr) At this point, if it was the wrong species I was stuck with a plant I didn’t want. Also, at 5:50 AM there was NO WAY I was answering the phone…Another three star reason – the size. The listing states a 1-year-old 10” tree. I received something much smaller. (See photos)I landed on 4-stars for these reasons though.1.) The tree is the species I requested in my phone voicemail. Is it because they got my message and specifically shipped it? I’ll never know but I’m so glad it worked out!2.) This little tree is extremely healthy! The leaves are all shiny and a dark green.3.) They included a cute white pot with a drain hole that will fit this little tree for at least the next year or so.4.) It came with a lot of information for the amateur grower

I ordered this late Thursday evening & received it the following Tuesday morning. Originally it was supposed to take a week, so was a few days early.Box arrived slightly banged up but the plant itself was in good condition (properly watered & appears healthy). The cosmetic pot (not the growers pot) has a chip in the bottom but that’s the extent of any damage.Overall give this a 4.8/5.0 – docking the .2 due to the chip in the pot.

plant arrived as scheduled – in good condition and looks nice although the first thing I noticed as I opened the package was funus gnats. fortunately since the weather is nice I choose to open it outdoors. I will leave it outdoors until I get control of the gnats in the soil.
