Fantastic game changer for our floors
The POPMOP compact floor mop and bucket are working phenomenally for us, even better than Iâd hoped. I had long suspected the two popular disposable floor wipe brands I have been using arenât enough to truly clean our tile and stone composite flooring. Indeed one use of this new mop set revealed more dirt cleaned off just our living room floor than the brown water in the advertising pictures. One soap sheet generously foams up on the wash side of the bucket which I filled halfway. While the mop can only dip into it so far, it can get wet enough to spread it to the other end on the floor. I did find myself wishing I could flip the head around to dip the other end, but the mop can only enter the bucket folded in one direction. The drying side of the bucket does a remarkable job of keeping the pad clean. Not only does it squeeze out all the dirty water, but bonus for us, it scrapes all the dog hair the mop picked up into a clump at the top so we can easily pick it up and toss it in the trash. The soapy water alone left the floor feeling slightly tacky, so I went over it one more time with a fresh fill of water. Once used wet the mop cloth only scrapes off enough to do an okay job of drying, but using a fresh cloth to dry does the trick. The cloths are remarkably secure on the mop head, by the way, thanks to a set of small tab pockets in conjunction with the more common hook loop strips. Initially I thought the mop handle was way too long, but the extra reach has come in handy, and the metal connecting poles are strong enough to handle my cleaning pressure despite its length. I just have to be careful not to hit the ceiling when I move the bucket around. Even the suction cups on the bottom of the bucket I thought were weird ended up being really helpful for holding the lightweight bucket in place. They are strong enough to do their job without making it difficult to lift and move the bucket when needed. Super intuitive, easy to use, and highly effective, the set also comes with spare plugs in case any of them wear out with use. So far Iâve found it easier to just dump the water from the top which also keeps all the plugs secure. The narrow profile of the bucket, and the flat mop storing right inside it is excellent for a small home tight in storage. Overall a fantastic introductory experience. I am very happy with this product and its performance!

Having this compact floor mop and bucket definitely beats having the old bucket and mop or a broom with a towel for mopping. The POPMOP came with the bucket, which has two sides, 1 side for the clean water and cleaning solution or cleaning sheets, and 1 side where you run the mop on to remove all the dirty water from the mop. In the box, they also provide a pack of cleaning sheets/solution which you drop inside the water, and it dissolves, and then you start to use the mop after that. The mop also comes with a bunch of extra mopping pads that you attach to the bottom of the mop, and some extra plugs for the bucket. The mop handle comes disassembled in 4 parts/ tubes, and you simply put them and screw or twist them together. When put together the mop handle is as long as or longer than a typical broom length, which makes it super easy to rich under the other side of the table without having to go around or push the table around.Using the mop is very easy, slide down the mop on the clean side to add some water, and as you pull it up it squeezes out excess water, then you mop, and put the mop on the dirty side of the bucket and it squeezes the dirty water out and you repeat this process several times until you are satisfied cleanliness of the floor. When done mopping, you leave the bucket to the sink or toilet and open the plug at the bottom to empty both sides, then undo the mop handles and put the pieces inside it and put it away.A couple of things I didn’t like much was twisting the mop handle. Since it is metal, it does a very irritating squeaking sound, like running your nails on a chalkboard. Second thing I didn’t like is if you have very dirty floors and you start with a full clean bucket, as you squeeze dirty water on the second tank and you add more clean water, your clean water eventually starts to get contaminated from the dirty mop if all the dirt didn’t get squeezed very well, and you end up at the end mopping the floor with dirty water. So ideally you feel it halfway, mop it all and then empty and add some clean water and mop again on top to make sure you are basically rinsing the floor, otherwise you end up with a foul smell.Overall, it does a good job and good design and works well and comes at a price tag of under $35.00 and to me is worth the value.
