Easy Clay Mitt
The synthetic clat mitt was easy to use with detail spray or car shampoo. It’s large enough to insert your hand and it glides with minimal effort. You will notice a smooth difference after you use it.

For years I used the actual clay bar and liquid. I found the mitt a year ago and have been using it every since. It is much faster and easier to use.

Mitt is good quality but more is necessary
This would have been better sold in a kit with all that is needed to treat the finish of your auto. This mitt is apparently infused with clay bar but you need a lubricant spray FIRST to use it. The instructions say to wash the car, spray with lube, rub with the mitt and then buff with microfiber – THEN you need to wax the finish. For some reason, I thought that you could just use this mitt with water. Not so.

If you have a car enthusiast in the family, as I do, youâll know a lot of their love of cars comes from how they look. The shine, that WETNESS of the reflection in the sun, is paramount. I have one such enthusiast in the family, and I know the amount of time they spend on car detailing forums (these exist!) to get that wet-looking shine.There isnât much to this glove, if you donât know what it does.In short, one side is made of sticky clay, which normally comes in PlayDoh-like clumps one uses to rub over the paintwork, but here is adhered to one side of a glove â similar to an oven glove. The other, which you flip when needed after youâve used the clay side, is microfibre, one of the best Iâve used and better than chamois.You will need a detailing spray of some kind after you washed the car thoroughly. Youâll want to use a high-pressure hose or better yet, take it to be cleaned professionally that first time, then keep up the car detailing afterwards yourself. The object is to get the car as clean as you can, so that the clay mitt can work best in removing surface impurities before waxing. You can, theoretically, not wax the car after using the mitt, and still have a very decent shine. But why not go that extra step? A carâs paintwork peels 5x faster the more you leave it untreated.For the record, we used:Meguiarâs LAST TOUCH Spray Detailer (to prep the car)West Horse CLAY MITT (which Iâm reviewing)Zymöl CLEANER WAX (to remove imperfections)AutoGlym SUPER RESIN POLISH (for fine detail/scuffs removal)Zymöl CONCOURS WAX (which you have to rub on your palms and apply it on the car using said hands)Obviously, if you have a high rotation orbital polisher, you will get an even better shine and rain just slides right off. But if you carefully prep using the West Horse Clay Mitt, youâll be fine without it.Once these steps are gone through, BELIEVE ME, your car will look amazing. Dealership lot brand new. And it all starts with this spectacular clay mitt!

I am no rookie to using a claybar on a vehicle. It is one of the best ways to remove contaminants. I have tried multiple towels and mits. No matter what, I come back to old school clay bars. They just work.However, I am excited to try this mit. If it works as advertised, it will drastically speed up a slow process. These mits always concern me because I don’t understand how the vibe clean. I know you have the whole waffle design, but you can’t find commitments in like with a clay bar.It does feel good on the hand. It’s thick and feel like it will last. If I can get 5 or 6 uses I will feel satisfied.I’m giving it a 4 star Veal recommendation. The 5 stars for Amazon is to help raise it up the list. I cannot wait to try it this weekend. Works great.
This is my first time using a clay mitt, and I like it much more than regular clay. You get the cover more surface area and you get able to get the job done faster. I still had to use regular clay on the hard to reach places, but this made short work of the big areas. And just a tip, I would keep the packaging it comes in for storage. And you still need to use a clay lube for the mitt. I use the mixture of water and car wash soap.

I used this with clay lubricant. Easy to use. You could actually feel the contaminants being removed, left a very smooth finish . No scratches or residue
