I’m really happy with this bucket and wash set
The bucket is very high quality, as is the lid and the dirt separator insert. The soap they include is super nice and works great, tons of suds.I’ve always liked the lambs wool mitts, but this is even better. Holds a ton of liquid and is very soft.While I was using this set (and a second rinse bucket), I started feeling bad about the crappy metal bucket and filthy mitt I used to use on my Mustang back when I was in high school/college.I loved that car more than life itself, and I was scratching it all to hell each time I washed it 😭😂.Anyways, good set and I like being able to see the condition of the watch and soap mix. The handle is very sturdy and makes it easy to move the full bucket around while washing.

** Update Sept 2018 **After a year’s worth of car washes (about once every 4-5 weeks, washing a full sized SUV and a sedan) one of the seams of the mitt unraveled and the mitt fell apart. I was able to sew it back together, but am a bit annoyed that the mitt lasted less than 20-some uses. Nothing where I would drop a star or anything, just a bit disappointed that the mitt was really no better quality than what’s widely available. I did stuff it with a sponge and sew it shut so that it’s now more of a microfiber sponge instead of a mitt.I also finally ran out of the soap. It’s great, restores the shine on the car better than anything sold at the local autoparts store, and just a ounce is good for the entire 5 gallon bucket. But, most of the reviews of the dirt trapper all talk about how it doesn’t fit all that well in the standard 5 gallon HD/Lowes buckets and needed some modifications for a better fit. I didn’t feel like dealing with that, so figured I’d just buy this kit with the proprietary bucket and get a little bit of other goodies as well.The dirt trap filter is a perfect fit in the bucket. True to design, it does trap a lot of the dirt in the bottom of the bucket. But, I wash using a two-bucket method, so the majority of the dirt goes in the rinse bucket anyway. The only down side is that the dirt trap fits so well that it’s hard to remove without turning the bucket over. I’ve seen pictures where others have drilled holes in it and placed a zip tie as a loop for ease of removal, but since i have no reason to take this thing out in the middle of washing my car, I’ve left it as is.The bucket is a bit shorter than the usual 5 gallon bucket, but its sturdy. The lid is nice and thick as well. I thought I was going to use it as a seat when cleaning wheels and such as suggested, but I find that I still need the soapy water in the bucket for the wheels so I haven’t used it for that purpose. Mostly the lid has mostly been used as a frisbee by my kids while I’m washing my car.The soap suds up nice and gives the car a nice shine. The lemony scent is kind of a gimmick since I don’t go around sniffing cars for that “just washed” smell. The mitt feels of good quality. But it’s a pain trying to get my hand inside the mitt when it gets wet. And it doesn’t seem all that better than the standard stuff you can buy from Wallyworld.Overall, the individual items are nice, and I am happy with it all, but the value for the price is lacking. If I had to do it over again, I would probably just buy the dirt trapper by itself and save a few dollars.

Perfect for washing cars, does the job very well

I bought this bucket, and I’m really happy with it. The plastic feels strong and durable, and the smoked black finish makes it look a lot nicer than a regular bucket. The lid snaps on securely and is great for storing supplies or even sitting on while working.Even though it’s slightly smaller than a full 5-gallon bucket, it still holds plenty of water and works perfectly for car washes.

The bucket and lid are indeed heavy duty. It’s a bit pricey but the quality is evident. I bought two for washing my truck. When not in use one holds all my towels and the other holds the sprays & soap. They look good too (I got one clear and one smoked).
